[THIRD PERSON POV]

"You never were one to talk about your problems aloud were you Vinnie? More the, mysterious, suffer in silence kind of girl."

"I doubt I need to speak my problems for them to be known this time Wanda." Davina replied lazily.

Hushed murmurs of a pointless argument emerging from the t.v hung up on a nearby wall helped Davina to distract herself from the perturbed look cast along her worrisome, ginger friend.

"Wanda, look, I really appreciate you constantly coming out here, I do, it's just... I don't want you wasting your time flying back and forth just to check up on me. You can't keep wasting your Friday's cooped up in Wakanda with me." Davina pressed, offering the shell-shock girl a timid smile.

"I hate to burst your bubble here, but you and Vision's are my only friends. And if i'm being completely honest here, he gets on my nerves from time to time. So, me coming to see you isn't only for you babes, I need a break from the compound every once in a while myself." Wanda chuckled, a sly grin weaving its way across her face.

Davina laughed and threw a piece of popcorn at her friend, who stole the opportunity to catch it in her mouth.

The sunset shone slivers of colour through Davina's open windows. Tendrils of cool, evening wind wisp their way around the room and tangled itself through both girls hair. Wanda's long, reddish waves swayed occasionally with every burst of wind.

The sun was almost completely set, with only the smallest slivers of colour visible from the sky. Darkness would soon overtake the alluring sight, though Davina found herself wishing the sky would always look like how it did now. With just hints of colour, so seeing the hues would still seem special, instead of an everyday event.

The pair were silent for a few moments before Wanda spoke up again, breaking the sound barrier they seemed to be trapped in. "It's been almost twelve months Vinnie... He'll be back before you know it, you know he will."

Davina sighed in relief at her friends unwinding words and ate another piece of popcorn, allowing the salt to evaporate completely against her tongue before swallowing the savoury delight.

"I just feel so, so lost without him here..." Davina flinched at her own choice of words. "Jesus i've become my worst nightmare." She gasped in horror, as her own realisation finally struck her core.

Wanda snapped her head up in an action of delighted amusement. "Oh yeah? What's that?" She spoke, hiding her snicker behind her words.

"I've become the girl who's world falls apart over a guy. Oh my god please smack me in the face Wanda, I need to go back to reality, Jesus this is terrifying." Davina gasped, placing her hand over her heart for extra dramatic flare.

Wanda snorted at her best friends amusing remark. "I'd expect nothing less... He makes you happy Vinnie, it isn't a bad thing to miss him." Wanda sighed, a gentle smile on her face. "Hey you know what, I just realised something..."

"Mhm? Transport me far away from my everlasting misery Witch Bitch, i'm begging you." Davina smirked, laughing at herself.

"You know your basically a witch too right?" Wanda glared playfully at the nickname.

"Was that your big announcement?"

"No it wasn't... Fire Bitch" Wanda smirked.

"Well get on with it." Davina sniggered, throwing a piece of popcorn in the air and catching it in her mouth, ignoring the nickname Wanda had declared for her months ago and used to address her ever since.

"This is my last visit before you'll see him again..." Wanda whispered, leaning slightly closer to her friend to get a better glance at the girls reaction to her elucidative words.

Davina smiled genuinely. "I've been counting down the days since he first went in there Wanda.. Trust me, I am very much aware."

"WELL?! Aren't you excited?!" Wanda exclaimed, throwing her arms in the air as an action to show off her disappointment at the lack of energy the other girl was giving off.

"No Wanda, i'm absolutely dreading his return." Davina snarked with a sarcastic roll of her eyes.

Wanda slapped her knee playfully before crossing her arms over her chest. "Jeez your boring, I miss the fun you."

"The fun me went into the cryo freeze with Bucky." Davina mumbled, too soft for the red head to hear. "Hey Wanda?" Davina spoke louder this time.

"Mhm?" She mumbled in response, shoving several pieces of popcorn in her mouth while focusing her gaze on the t.v, clearly confused as to what was happening on the screen.

"Would you mind staying tonight? I-I know you-"

"I was already staying darling. Damn these Wakandan blankets are soft as hell. Until I get one, i'm staying." Wanda exclaimed, shooting Davina a knowing glance before shifting her attention back towards the t.v.

"Thank you Wanda..."
