Raë could stop her thoughts at will. She could go deep, deep into the layers of her mind.
'Energy flows where attention goes', said Bose. There was a surge of electrical activity in Raë's prefrontal cortex – areas responsible for abstract thinking and creative expression. From slow theta frequencies she cycled her way to rapid gamma waves; propelling herself into a creative flow. With her prefrontal pulsing, she craved creative stimulation. Like a narcotic need, she indulged in it with regular consistency.
A gateway opened up.
Raë was frequenting Anahata and the Lab on a daily basis. She had also taken to doing finger and wrist exercises, repeatedly squeezing a ball to strengthen her hand muscles. She played Deathonator solo and with teammates. She participated in multiplayer platforms with advanced players so as to acquire new tactics. She learnt to strategize intelligently and marked each oversight and dissected it carefully. Late at night when her roommate was asleep, she wrote a narrative for a virtual construct that she wanted to design and develop.
Her focus was so sharp, she could splinter rock.
Inner alchemy was beginning to take seed.
