Demonstration day. Everybody was raring to go, everybody had something to show – except me.
Raë initiated the demonstration. She ran towards the fallen logs, jumped with both feet and spring-boards off, dematerializing into thin air and landed meters away in perfect equilibrium.
Bose stood aligned with the fallen trees, carefully observing.
"Woohoo!" shouted Chin-Hae.
One after the other we sprinted and spring-boarded off the logs. Zoop, Zoop, Zoop. Each of them flickered out of existence in front of me.
Mid-jump my body flickered into form and I fell heavily to the ground. My mind was sluggish, my vibration dense. The others had dematerialize in perfect symmetry, landing gallops ahead of me. I shut my eyes tight, frustrated with my performance. I stood up pulling fistfuls of grass and caught Bose watching me.
"Remember, you are a thought away from connecting to the singularity," he said, looking at me.
Then addressing us all, "This demonstration has earned you a private meeting with Phi, my line of ascension, my teacher, my Master. It's time to meet the most powerful pod known to me. Prepare to leave for Afghanistan next week."
