Before the knife could hit Mike, I had jumped in front and grabbed the knife with my hands.

Even with the bandages on my hands, I could still feel the sharp knife cutting through it.

"Not smart of you to grab it by the blade?" William cockily said.

I grunted in pain but kept my eyes on William.

"There's nothing else I could grab."

William shrugged, "You could have let me just kill him."

"Do you really think I would let you do that?"

William smiled.

"No, but if your dead, then you can't."

In a flash, William had grabbed my arm, spun me around, and pinned me to the ground.
As I tried to get up, I felt something cold press up against my neck.

"S-so this is your p-plan," I said, breathing heavily.

"You're just going to kill me?"

William's grip tightened on the knife forcing the more into my neck.

I know William would never want to do this to me, but he's under the influence of remnant so, anything can happen.

Using my last resort to fix this, I held up my hand.

"Before you kill me, I just want to show you something."

I flipped my bloody hand over, showing the engagement ring.

"The man who proposed to me promised that he would never do anything to hurt me in any way, shape, or form."

"But just so you know William, I would risk my life for you if that means I can be with you forever."

After that, I closed my eyes and accepted my fate.

But the sound of subtle crying made me open my eyes.
I looked up in surprise to see William crying.

"I-I can't."

He then threw the knife across the room.

"Why (y/n)?" "Why do you care so much about me?!"

"Just look what I do to people!" He yelled.

Hastily I sat up and brought my hand to his face.

"I care because I love you. If I didn't love you, I would have left your house the very first day I met you."

"If I didn't love you, I wouldn't have cried after I saw you die in front of my eyes. If I didn't love you, I wouldn't have gotten the nightshift to find you."

"If I didn't love you, I wouldn't be engaged with you."

I then looked William in the eyes.

"You're going to need to work on your anger. You did all of this because I told Mike something that I didn't tell you."

Tears fell down William's face.

"I am so sorry (y/n)."

"I know you are, but I'm not the one who needs an apology," I said, moving my eyes to Mike.

William stood up and moved over to Mike.

"Michael, I am so sorry-"

Mike interrupted his dad by wrapping his arms around him.

"I know, father. I forgive you."

More tears poured down William's face as he cried for the first time in years.

After William made things right with both Mike and me, we started to clean up the bloody mess.

"Oh my god, William, how many people did you kill?" I said, dragging a lifeless body.

William shrugged.

"Eh, I don't know. Maybe 15?"

Mike's eyes widened.

"Dad, that's so many! What are we even going to do with this many corpses?"

"I don't know. I could make it into remnant. Or we would dump the bodies."

I then glanced down at the body I was dragging.
At that moment, an idea came to mind.

"Hey, William?" I asked.

"Yes, love?"

"Didn't you say that those animatronics are trying to kill me so they can escape?"

William put the mop down and looked at me.

"Yes, that's their goal."

"Then why don't we just give them one of these dead bodies to use."

William opened his mouth to disagree, but he stopped.

"Actually, that might work." "But even if that works, it's not like you can talk them into it."

I slyly smiled.

"Well, maybe I can."

"I can just talk to Elizabeth, and she can tell the others. Plus she's saved me before."

William sighed and crossed his arms.

"If that's what you want to do, then I can't stop you from doing it."

"So you'll let me do it?!" I said excitedly.

"Yes, but first, we need to finish cleaning."

Once we were done cleaning after 2 hours, it was time to discuss the plan.

"Alright (y/n), what's the plan?" Mike said, sitting across from me.

"Okay, so I'll bring the dead body down with me tonight, and hopefully, Elizabeth convinces the others not to kill me. Then they use the other body and boom! I'm alive, and they're free." I explained.

Mike and William looked at me unsure,

"Not many details in that plan." Mike worriedly said.

"I agree with Mike. There has to be more than that."

"Well, that's because I don't know what kind of work I'll be doing tonight so, I'll just have to play along and hope it works." I shrugged.

William pinched the bridge if his nose.

"God, I can't believe you're going to do this."

He then looked me in the eyes.

"Just please don't die (y/n)."

"I won't, I promise." I smiled.

Then William leaned in and kissed me.

Not even 3 seconds into the kiss Mike was already grossed out and yelling.

"Ewwww!" "Get a room!"

William smirked.

"I mean, I wouldn't mind."

"EWWWW!" Mike yelled again.

I let out a small giggle and stood up.

"That will have to wait for another time because I should probably go and talk with Elizabeth."

"I'll be outside. You two boys stay here and bond."

Before I could hear them whine, I quickly walked out.
When I stepped outside, I felt the cold fall air hit my face.

I put my hands in my pocket and walked along the dirt road.
