Chapter 61

Bri's pov. Friday, January 4th,

I am woken up by the sun rising, I yawn before checking everyone's auras are where they're supposed to be which they are. After that I go into my bag and pull out some berries. I decide in a simple meal, some Pecha berry pancakes with some oran berry strips and some Sitrus berry juice. When I finish everyone is awake.

"Good morning, guys." I smile as I start making everyone plates, once everyone is sat down I give the pokemon their's before finally making myself a plate and joining everyone around the burnt out fire from last night.

"It's nice to meet you Zoey, I'm Serena." Serena introduces herself.

"It's nice to meet you as well, you all have a pretty large group, how'd you all end up traveling together, I know May and Dawn were traveling together but, what about the rest of you? How'd you all end up together?" Zoey asks.

"Well we ended up in Slateport the night before a contest, and immediately went to sign up but, when we reached the pokemon center there were no rooms left Serena saw us and offered us the extra beds in her room. We all competed in the contest the next day but when Serena went on stage barely anyone cheered for her, that's when Bri stood up and cheered for her, from backstage we saw her on camera we thought she reminded us of Ash. After the contest we headed back to the pokemon center where we saw her on the phone." Dawn guesures for me to continue from where she left off.

"Serena had tapped my shoulder while I was on the phone with Ash. Saying she thought she recognized me, to which I introduced myself, Serena and I were best friends as kids thought we lost contact as we got older, we caught up and I introduced myself to Dawn and May who I had seen pictures of since they both traveled with Ash before. After that we talked and realized we were all going the same direction, we decided we might as well travel together. It was a while before Shawna joined us, by that point we had traveled to Alola for a friend of mine's wedding, we ended up getting stuck there since the I.P. had a few jobs for me, I was on my way back from one when I met Shawna, I found out she and Serena were already friends. Not long after that did I meet my daughter Lexi, she was abandoned by her parents due to her aura, so I took her in. When we left it was decided they both would come with us, right before we left I was informed that Mr. Stone requested I escort Mrs. Elena Stone around Hoenn to see all the remaining contests and seeing as we were going to go to every contest anyway there's no point not to have her along with us."

"That's great you all found each other thought, and Bri I'm sorry for trying to attack you yesterday."

"Oh no worries, I expected that. Also we should probably do a check up today to see how you're functioning today. That was a pretty nasty fall you had."

"Sounds good."

"How does everyone feel about having a relaxed day today? We have time before the next contest, and Sparks and I found a great swimming spot nearby last night." Everyone agrees it would be good and before I know it they're all in their swimsuits, I changed as well though I wear a too big tee shirt on top as I guide them to the waterfall, we grabbed our stuff and moved it over so we wouldn't have to worry about our stuff, once everything was set up again we settled down. Zoey and I sat on the edge with our feet in the water while everyone else jumps in, the pokemon scattered over the surrounding area.

"You care about this group a lot don't you?" Zoey asks following my gaze to them.

"Huh, oh yeah I love them, you see once my aura accepts someone they're family. I couldn't leave if I wanted to."

"I'm glad they have you. And thank you, based on what Dawn told me last night I probably wouldn't be here if it weren't for you."

"That's my job as an Aura Guardian, to protect both people and pokemon. It was really no problem. So tell me about you, Ash mentioned he had a Rival named Zoey but that's just about what I know about you." I lean back on my hands as Sparks sunbathes on my lap.
