Chapter 5

Bri's pov.  Wednesday, August 15th Part 1.

I yawn as I wake up It's about 6 so that means it's about 9 in Kanto. I get up and get dressed heading downstairs and to one of the video phones, I call home. Mom picks up.

"Hey Bri how was the contest?" Mom asks.

"It was great, mom, I ran into some of Ash's companions, May and Dawn as well as reunited with Serena. Serena actually won her first contest her performance was amazing, though I know Ash already knows that since he watched it on tv." I say as I feel a weight on the back of the chair to see Serena.

"Morning Serena." I say.

"Morning Bri, Delia, Sparks." She says as she ruffles Sparks fir.

"Good Morning Serena, so Bri tells me you won your first contest in Hoenn, that's amazing." Mom says.

"Bri have you called Red since you got to Hoenn, he's got to be worried about you." Mom says.

"No I haven't I'll call him after I get off the phone with you." I say.

"Good so where are you heading to next?" Mom asks.

"Well I'm going to be traveling with Serena, Dawn, and May. We are heading to Petalburg for her little brother's 10th birthday..... Max, I think his name is. Then after that to Rustboro so Serena, Dawn, and May can compete in the contest and so I can challenge the gym." I say.

"That sounds fun, call when you get to Petalburg, I'm sure Ash wants to wish Max a happy birthday." Mom says.

"I'll do that love you mom." I say.

"Love you too." She says as she hangs up.

"Okay now to call Red." I say as I punch his number in.

"Bri does Red know about m-my c-crush?" Serena asks.

"I don't know, Ash might have told him I'm not sure." I say as I pressed call.

"Hey Bri, Sparks... who is that behind you." Red and Yellow say together.

"Hey Red, Yellow, Pika, ChuChu, this is Serena, a childhood friend of Ash and myself." I respond.

"Hi" I hear Serena say.

"Hello Serena" they both say.

"Pika" the pikachu couple say.

"Wait isn't she the same girl Ash called about the other day?" Red asks.

"I don't know." I say. I look at Serena her face a bright red.

"I think so I mean Ash and Bri described her as a childhood friend." Yellow says.

"So how have you two been, same with Blue and Green?" I ask. As I hold up three fingers and count down as soon as I put my last finger down.

"Is Bri calling." Blue's voice says.

"Yeah Blue it's me." I say as she comes onto the screen.

"Oh and Serena, the girl that kissed Ash." Blue says. Serena's face is even more red.

"D-did y-you k-know, a-about t-that, B-Bri?" Serena asks.

"Yeah, I knew, I just DIDN'T THINK I SHOULD MENTION IT, LIKE BLUE DID." I say as I turn to the camera and glare at Blue.

"Shit, bye." Blue murmurs before getting off the screen.

"Bri calm down." Red says.

"I am calm." I say.

"Bri, Sere you down here?" May's voice asks.

"Y-yeah M-may." Serena says.

"Bri what happened to her?" May asks.

"My older brother's friend." I respond.

"Looks like we are heading out, talk to you soon, love you both." I say to Red and Yellow.

"Alright see you, we love you too, sis call anytime." Red says and hangs up. I turn to them and hold up Sparks who taps her nose to Serena's snaping her out of it.

"You good Serena?" I ask.

"Yeah I just didn't expect them to know." She says.

"Eh, he was probably just confused going to the only member of our family with a girlfriend for advice." I respond.

"What did they know about?" May asks.

"N-nothing." Serena says. May looks to me.

"Not my place to say, Serena will tell you when she's ready." I say.

"Aww, I want to know the secret." May says.

"Well I gotta grab my stuff seeing as we are leaving soon." I say as I take Sparks with me upstairs and into the room I stayed in and grabing my backpack which I put everything into last night I do a quick sweep of the room to make sure I didn't leave anything then when I'm sure I lock the door and head down stairs I give Nurse Joy the key.

"Bri" I hear from the stairs.

"Yeah." I turn to see Serena.

"Can you help us wake Dawn up?" She asks I nod and walk up the stairs and into their room. I shake Dawn, she doesn't move I try harder.

"Dawn if you don't get up I'll have Sparks shock you awake." I say.

"Pi Pika" Sparks says. She still doesn't get up.

"Okay Sparks just enough to wake her up not like Pikachu does to Ash." I say with a chuckle. She lightly shocks Dawn.

"I'm up, I'm up." She says.

"Thanks Sparks." I say.
