Chapter 1

I can't help but visualized a beautiful girl in a medieval era. Wearing her purple long gown that of a princess that can be seen in fairytale movies. Hair styled in a perfectly french twist bun. White long gloves hiding her smooth skin. Intimately dancing in the ballroom with her probably prospect husband.

Oh, how lovely to live in that era!

But then, the image change as I heard the voice of my professor. Yeah, the reality! The scene in the ballroom turns into wars, cries of people, gunshot...

I sighed. I blinked twice and the serious face of my professor comes to life. He walks back and forth as he continued discussing some history of the Philippines.

Habang pabalik balik ang tingin ko sa professor, the class started to bore me as my medieval fantasy stopped.

I sighed again. Do I really need to learn this?

I mean, I'm a second year business administration and this is just my minor subjects. Minsan feeling major pa kung maka-demand ng requirements!

Nabaling ako sa likod ko nang may marinig akong sumitsit.

"Sama ka mamaya?" bulong nito. I slit my eyes at pasimple akong umiling.

Bilib din ako sa isang to. Kahit may prof sa unahan ay nagagawa paring... well, nevermind that.

I shook my head, refusing her offer. Ibinalik ko ulit ang attention ko sa harapan para makinig.

"Hoy... Sama ka na. Kulang kami ng isa," pamimilit niya. Tinusok pa ako sa likod.

Umirap lang ako saka umiling ulit. Damn! Ang kulit din ng isang 'to.

Tumigil siya.. so, akala ko she gave up. Hindi pa pala. Pagka-dismissal namin ay agad niya akong kinulit.

"Sige na Rea... Hindi daw sasama si Kath kung kulang," nagpapaawa niyang sabi.

I sighed in annoyance as I turned to her. I arched a brow. "Seriously? Bea... first day na first day ng school year, makikipag blind date kayo?"

She let out a bark of laughter as she flipped her hair.

"Dapat lang... Wala nang love love life kapag finals. Alam mong masyadong standard ang paaralan na to. Kaya please habang maaga pa, mag landi kana."

I rolled my eyes. "Ewan ko sa inyo."

Iniwan ko siya at saka tinungo ang cafeteria. It's lunch break at paglalandi ang pinapakain niya sa akin.

Agad kong iginala ang mata ko pagkaapak ng cafeteria. I've been here for one year already at hindi ko parin maiwasang mamangha kapag napapadpad ako dito. The HA's cafeteria never fail to fascinates me. Para kang nasa five star hotel sa sobrang gaganda at mamahal ng mga bagay sa paligid.

But then again, it should be. This school is one of the most famous and expensive schools I've known. And it's hard to enter this school if you're just an average person.

But of course there's an exception. Palagi naman. Ako at ang mga kaibigan ko -- Katherine, Beatrice and Gianna.

The four of us were offered to attend this school as a scholar. I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing.

Narating ko ang table namin nang nakasimangot. The two looked at me with puppy eyes on their faces.

I immediately arched a brow. "I know that look and it's a no.... Can you just start this school year na normal?"

Kath and Gian grunted. They even rolled their eyes at me.

"And what do you mean by that normal? Kagaya mong loveless?" Kath said with her arched brow.
