Pag gising ko sa umaga, wala na sa tabi ko si Leo. And I couldn’t care less when I could literally see the time on side table. It’s freaking 7 AM! Hindi man lang ako ginising ng loko.
Agad akong dumeretso sa banyo at naligo. I did my morning routine. Pagkatapos kong maligo, nagbihis ako for school. Agad din akong bumaba sa sala, looking for Leo.
Natigilan ako ng marinig ko ang ingay na nanggagaling sa kitchen. I arched my brow as I marched toward it and there… I saw him cooking.
“You didn’t wake me up! Kung hindi lang ako nagising!” nag-iinarte kong sabi pagkakita sa kanya. Agad siyang lumingon with a smug on his face.
“Relax babe! It’s only 7 AM. The exams usually start at 8:30 or sometimes late.”
I grimaced. “Don’t you babe me, Leo. Hindi pa nga tayo.” Tumawa siya sa sinabi ko. Ibinalik din naman ang attention sa niluluto nito. I puffed at lumapit sa kanya.
“You know how to cook?” hindi makapaniwalang tanong ko. Who would thought, someone like him knows how?
Hindi siya sumagot, instead he spooned some of the food at saka itinapat sa akin. “Taste it for me, babe.”
I slit my eyes but he didn’t even flinch. God, didn't he hear me not to call babe? Walang hiya talaga! I don't want to taste the food pero mas lalo pa niyang itinapat ang spoon sa bibig ko. Wala na akong nagawa kaya isinobo ko na lang.
Ngumiwi ako. “Errrhh, it tastes terrible.” Nawala ang ngisi niya. He raised his brow as if he couldn't believe me. I wanted to laugh pero pinigilan ko. Actually, the food is good, much better sa mga luto ko. Gusto ko lang siyang pagtripan.
Agad niyang tinikman ang luto niya and I could see the confusion on his face. “I don’t know what kind of taste bud you have. The food is magnificent,” proud niyang sabi. I snorted habang umiiling iling. What a narcissist!
“Sa main gate na ako bababa ahh. Para hindi kana mapalayo sa department niyo.” I grabbed my bag at the backseat. I wanted to hailed a taxi pero hindi siya pumayag. It’s either sasabay ako sa kanya or sabay kaming magta-taxi.
How sweet of him!
“What time will you finish your exam?” tanong niya habang pinapark ang kotse nito sa main gate.
Bumaling ako dito ng nagtataka. “Why?”
He chuckled. “Just answer me babe, hmmm?” Ayan na naman ang pag ba-babe nito.
“If I finish earlier, maybe 2:20 but if not baka mga 2:30,” sagot ko. I saw him smirk kaya napataas ako ng kilay. “What are you planning?” Pinanliitan ko ito ng mata.
“I will fetch you then. May pupuntahan tayo.”
“What? Saan?” gulat kong tanong.
“Malalaman mo din,” he teased with his smug smile. He then looked down at his wrist watch. “You should go, baka ma late ka!”
I puffed as I rolled my eyes. “Leo!…. Sana mamaya mo na lang sinabi noh? Baka hindi na ako maka sagot nito. You’re making me curious!” He just let out a laugh.
Padabog akong lumabas sa kotse niya na mas lalo pa niyang ikinatawa.
Pagdating ko sa room namin ay lahat sila ay nagre-review. Hindi ko ma comprehend ang mga pinagbubulong nila. You see, even though these students are rotten spoiled brats, they make sure they excel in their studies too. After all, H.A is a school for competitive students.
The overall top one of the second year students is Gavin, Adrian is just second. I’m fifth and Karina is sixth, Gian and Bea got the seventh spot and Kath got the eight spot together with someone I don’t know. The rest? I don’t know. Third year overall top one is Harden, second si Whytt and third si Theo. Fourth year overall top one is Anthony, sumonod lang si Leo. Pero sana mahabol niya ngayon.
