chapter 3 Lonan

There stood Jay just ahead and he was about to say something which I had to stop him, I just wanted to get bladded and deal with this another day. Relief in knowing someone else knew and its no secret anymore between friends! It's not like I told him, he had seen for himself.

"Jay..." his expression changed and no words came out of his mouth much to relife

"Dude .. i just saw.." pointing

"Leave it.. it's fine.. I know .."

"What??? Since when?" was was shocked

"A while.. Leave it yeah.. lets just get bladdered"  he wasn't able to speak at all.
Standing at the bar when I felt someone softly place a hAnd on my shoulder before a softly spoken voice got his attention. But smiling boldly, eyes bold and bright, glittering as they started at him, Brown silky hair tightly tied up high in a messy bun. Brown leather jacket sitting just above her waist, skinny jeans and Brown boots.

"Well well well how are you?"

"Alex.... Good to see you."

"How are you? Looking very dapper." She nudged me and hinted at my very expensive shirt and waist coat.

"Your looking well." hugging her straight away but he felt her flinch within his hold yet! it was a weak hug but he noticed her readjust herself and smiled again at him.

"Alright?" I asked her while narrowing my eyes at her

"Yeah yeah... spent too long at the gym this morning.... so Mr successful how's life?" Hinting at achy bones But swiftly changing the topic

"Life complicated, work busy. You?" Easy to explain.. Black & white really

"Life... Well I'm single. Work great." She shrugged her shoulders

"Thats great... Good to see you.. fancy a drink?"

"Please... Coke"she placed her hands on the edge of the bar and stood silently.

"Ill bring it over.." I watched her join the other yet she definitely flinched when hugged her.

Morning came and He need to shake this hang over, Firstly cracked a egg into a glass before downing it in one, pulled his cap on just as the phone rung but it went straight to answer phone.

"Hello darling its mum.. just hoped would catch you. How are you? Son call me back when you can we need to sort out for your dad's party. Check Sarah's diary to love you sweetheart."

Running out the door & letting it slam behind him, he kept running down the gravel driveway knowing he needed to tell mum.
The pain kept me running and my stomach was starting to ache, pushing by the pain I kept going.

Up ahead was Alex sitting on the bench facing the pond, as he got closer he noticed she was upset! But after last night that he vastly remember anything! Except pint after pint with a few shots dropped in. pulling out his head phones out as he slowly went from running into jogging to walking!

"Alex" he puffed and panted.

"Huh.... lanon" she wiped her eyes and then looked away

"Alright?" Trying to catch my breath

"Yeah....Yeah..... Your up early" she stuttered

"Hangover... early run" I tried to study her but she didnt make eye contact.

"You did drink fair bit last night"

"Yeah... are you okay"

"I'm fine." She barked at me so I knew to leave it.

"Okay... are you sure...."

She just nodded then grunted
"I don't want or need to talk about it."

"Okay.. umm here.. see you around then. take care" pushing a business card next to her before heading off but that feeling of puzzled by why I gave her my card.

"Hey mum.. yes mum its me.... Huh... Yeah yeah works,great got that deal I told you about.... thanks mum... Yeah ill be coming when again? Mum don't worry for the cost ill pay it I can afford it.... Mum please I'm happy too....No mum she's ummm.... She's away with work, yes mum it's a shame. Okay yeah ill speak to you soon. Bye,bye mum yes,love you too."

I got comfy in the conservatory chair while was talking mum. I know she didn't approve of Sarah and by her lack of convincing tone Sarah wasn't going to be going I couldn't help but smile.

The weekend disappeared quickly and its Monday morning already! Linda welcomed him with her big smile and a coffee in her hand.

"Morning sir"

"Morning Linda... Good weekend?"

"Of course yes and you? Hope you didn't stay too late on Friday?"

"No think I left at 9pm... so busy day ahead haven't we?"

"Yes I already have set up the meeting rooms and I'm just about to put the information know books together ready for the New candidates."

"But Linda its only 9am" he removed his jacket and hung it up

"Yes been here since 8am to get us ahead sir"

"Thank you" I might not show it but i really do appreciate Linda, I wouldn't be so organised with out her.

emails were opened and instantly 15 easily came through. A sigh at every Bing which came with it.

"Knock knock... sir.... some post has just been dropped in.." Linda stood holding a large brown envelope. She looked worried as she handed me it across my desk. I could tell it was important for two reasons, l trust Linda to fish though my post and undo them etc but she hadn't and she couldnt possibly hold it any further away from her.

"Thank you... who delivered it?"

"A young man.. I had to sign for it sir."

"No problem thank you" she walked out my office, I set thAt letter aside as I had the feeling it will put me in a,bad mood for rest of the day.

I noticed a email came through and in its subject line - staff recognition I was for sure this time,going to put my opinion forward and nominate Linda. She had been amazing recently and I know I don't always show her so here is my nomination. I pressed send and then tackled the rest of the emails one by one
