chapter 15 Lonan

looking at her hurtful face, stained with tears, I just wanted to hug her, I miss her in fact. What's going on with me.. I haven't got a clue to be honest. I'm not this type of person. don't get wrong I treat any girl I'm with like a princess.

I'm normally smart, cool, calm and collected, deal breaker, deal maker. Not a soppy bloke wanting to kiss this girl I hardly know... her eyes were sparkling with tears.

"You don't need to though.... I .... cant believe im going to say this... leaving you at your mums this morning I felt lonely... I've got used to you being around.... and I hate seeing you so upset." I rubbed my forehead

"Having me around?" I can't believe she only picked up on that.

"Yeah..." I wiped her tears and there we were staring at each other, my heart was beating quick. My breathing fast and heavy, my mouth started to get dry, dry enough I needed a drink.

She took my hand and I wanted to kiss her so bad, to the point If I didn't do it now then I would have to get out the car.... my heart pounding like it was about to fall out my chest. I leant forward enough so my breath skimmed her lips and I Locked with hers, so soft and gentle as I slipped my fingers on her chin stroking her cheek with my thumb. With her soft lips dancing on mine fire works begun and I never felt this with Sarah with anyone before..

I rubbed my thumb on her cheek and I slipped my tongue in caressing hers as she played back. My chest banging quicker and quicker unable to contain myself much longer I pulled away and rested my head on hers.. she grinned at me playfully then said quietly to me

"Your mum is waiting.." Talk about breaking this moment between us

"I know" I saw mum waiting at the front door.

"I didn't.. plan this" I mumbled to her

"I know... umm shall we go in...before they get suspicious.." she undid her belt and hopped out. I couldn't help but grin and follow.

"So... they won't mind me gate crashing.." I watched her adjust her top and lift her bag to her shoulder

"No way... they don't know about you.. but do now.." I locked the car and Alex gripped my hand tight before we walked up to greet mum again.. Lets try this for a second time I thought to myself.

"Mum..." I smiled nervously

"Darling.... Come here... so picked up the emergency? I don't blame you" Mum whispered in my ear, kissed my cheek and turned to alex

"Hello sweetheart.. I'm lonans mum Mary.."

"Mum this is Alex." I nervously introduced her

"Come in and meet the family... you know we have a secret... Lonans dad doesn't know we have a party planned... so ssshhh don't tell him." I watched mum lift her finger to her lips and playfully welcome alex into the house.

"I won't" mum had whisked her away leaving me on the door step.

Later at the party my sister was talking to alex, she was laughing. That laugh made me smile to the point where it was obvious.. I knew people noticed and yet I stood staring at her.

"Darling... Alex is lovely" mum appeared to side of me

"Yeah... it's just happened mum"

"Stunning... so Sarah... gone?"

"Yeah gone mum... she left me..."

"Okay... when?" I watched mum not batter a eyelid and just sipped her champagne

"Few days ago..."

"But Alex?" Mum seemed confused like I have felt for such a long time.

"A old friend.. she needed some help mum.. the day Sarah left boom there was Alex..... Mum I was working late.. hardly sleeping.. working out too much..." I dunno why I felt need to tell mum but I did and she just listened

"Well son, one door closes and one opens."

"I know but on same day? and this girl" I hinted at Alex

"Its known to happen son... so why you.... why Alex turn to you.. I don't remember her as a kid."

"She's clares best friend.."

"Oh okay... why you"

"Dont worry mum she's not after my money... but Sarah on other hand is..."

"Dont you give her anything.. never liked that girl.... Darling I better go see people..." Mum held my hand And squeezed it tight.

"Okay mum you go mingle." I weakly smiled

"Lonan..."

"Yeah" I turned to her gaze

"Good to see your smile son... you need to be happy.. don't wait too long you hear me?" I nodded and couldn't help but smile & took a swing of my beer..

"Right bro..." Felt hand on my shoulder

"Yes bud... you..."

"Yeah... umm need a favour"

"Depends"

"Please Lonan... I need a loan.."

"What for" I took another swig of my beer.

"I want to take Amy away..."

"A holiday.... save up you lazy bastard!" I joked

"No Lonan... " his tone changed and it wasn't joking it was a serious tone.

"What is it.." I looked to Amy's direction.

"Can we go outside..."

"Yeah come on.. Everything okay?" something was wrong.
