Chapter 28 Lonan

Anger was tipping over as I laid one punch after the other. I couldn't stop myself from hitting him again and again and again.

"LONAN STOP.... NO STOP" echoed through the room as Jay pushed me aside and I realised what I had done. looking across to alex who was in a crumpled mess in the corner while Clare trying to comfort her,Alex's phone was smashed to little pieces on the floor.

"Come on come home" I scooped her up in my arms to which she hung her arms around my neck. she left lighter than before when I've carried her, much lighter like there's nothing of her.
Her breathing was small and light.

I walked to my car and she got in the passenger seat,

"Clare get in my side.. Hey. you okay?"
I softly asked her
"Huh..." is all she replied.
"Okay I'll just go get some stuff for you"
"Lonan... thank you" I just smiled locked the car with them in it & walked back to jay.

"Dude what happened?"
"I couldn't control myself... he deserved.. come with me I need to grab a bag of stuff"
"Wait Lonan come on a friend don't do damage like that"
"i love her plain and simple mate.. I can't help it but I do"

Grabbing few things shoving them into a duffle bag we went back down stairs and Richard was cleaning myself up. he ignored us as we did him.

"What about him" Jay asked
"Nothing I'll ring the police.. you and Clare following us back?"
"For sure"

I got in the car and alex looked sad, in pain, scared all I'm one.

"Your safe now.... hello yes I want to report a assult..... one my friend her husband has assaulted her....... yes she is with me now... Lonan smith...23 Brooke street...thank you"

There was silence in the car all way back I wanted to talk to her but no words came out.

We were nearly home and as we got out the car alex steadied herself

"Alright?"
"I feel sick"
"Okay come on" I scooped her up and carried her in laid her on the sofa pulled the blanket over her.

"Lonan... police are here"
Jay walked in but Clare just sat next to alex
"She alright"
"Not really this isn't the first time but it is the last.... hello Lonan smith" I greeted the police

"yes thank you for coming"
"We have been told about a assault?" A young girl stood next to a older man
"Yeah my friend.. she's in there.. Her husband has assaulted her again"
"Again sir?" She asked as she looked towards the girls
"Yes not first but this is the worst!"
"Okay well we will take a statement and then if you can bring her down the station tomorrow"
"No problem.. Alex the police are here"
