Chapter 15 - Killian

2013 -

I did what I promised and took a year off. I moved into Tony's Malibu home, but of course I couldn't just sit around all day. I had some virtual meetings with Nick and I helped Pepper at Stark Industries to pass some time.

Tonight was Date night, I was running a bit late tonight after finishing up with some meetings with Pepper. One particularly bothered me, it was with a man named Aldrich Killian. The way he stared at me and talked about Tony with me made me feel weird. I definitely got a bad feeling about him.

FLASHBACK TO TWENTY MINUTES AGO-

The meeting had just ended, this man Aldrich Killian had asked for some tea and Pepper offered to go get some. Of course leaving me alone with him. Throughout the whole meeting, I had a weird feeling about him...he kept watching me, making me step into his brain....well a hologram of one.

"I didn't get to ask...are you Pepper's assistant?" He speaks up.

"No...I'm just here temporarily. I know my way around the company so I come and help sometimes." I nod.

"That's nice of you." He smiles. "Wait I have seen you before...your dating Tony Stark right? And your an Avenger."

"Yes I am." I nod.

"I met Tony a long time ago...how is he?"

"He's great. At home waiting for me as we speak." I smile.

"How long have you both been dating? Does he take care of you?"

"I'd rather not talk about my personal life here at work." I shake my head.

He slides his hand over and rests it on top of mine. "I'm sorry...I used to be close with him....So I just wondered how he got such a beautiful woman like you. He's truly lucky."

"I'm the lucky one." I pull my hand away and stand up, grabbing my purse. "I'm actually running late, it was a pleasure meeting you Mr. Killian."

He stands up and follows me to the door, opening it for me. "The pleasure is all mine." He smirks, leaning in and kissing my cheek.

I frown and stare at him for a moment, getting a bad vibe from him. I then turn back and slam into someone's chest. "Happy! Hi!" I shake my head.

"You okay?" He eyes Killian suspiciously.

"I'm great, heading home now." I smile, feeling extremely uncomfortable.

"I'll walk you out." He glares at Killian and holds his arm out for me as I grab it, tightening my grip as we turn the corner. "What happened? Your gonna rip my arm off."

I release my grip, still holding onto him. "I'm sorry...he just gives me the creeps. It's a feeling I have."

"Your an Assassin...why not knock him out?" Happy laughs.

"I can't just go around punching people based on weird feelings." I chuckle as we go outside. "Thank you Happy." I smile and hug him.

"Drive safe." He waves as I walk over to my car, turning as I see Killian leaving the building.

End flashback

When I pull up to the house I was shocked to see a huge stuffed Rabbit sitting outside. "Tony....what the fuck?" I shake my head, grabbing my purse and walking inside. "I'm sorry I'm late. I was... What the... What is that?" I stop as I see Tony sitting on the couch in his armored suit. "You're wearing this in the house now? What is that, like, Mark 15?" I laugh.
