Chapter 46 - Discovery.

It's been twenty-two days....Tony still wasn't here. I was losing my mind...worried sick....terrified. I didn't know if he was snapped away....I didn't know if he died in space. I definitely wasn't prepared for an unexpected discovery.....

I stare down at the positive pregnancy test, scared and shocked. I hold my hand over my mouth as I start to cry.

"Y/N?" What's wrong?" I turn to see Nat and Steve standing in the doorway.

"I'm....I'm pregnant." My lip quivers.

"Oh....Y/N." She rushes over to me and sits beside me on my bed, pulling me in her arms.

"I can't do this Nat....I can't do this without Tony."

Steve walks over and sits on my other side, they both hold onto me and rub my back. "We will be here for you....we will help you Y/N." Steve whispers.

"You don't know anything about babies." I laugh through my tears as I look at him.

"I'll learn." He smiles. "I'll get every book about babies if I have to."

"What if something is wrong with it? I got the shit kicked out of me...what if I hurt my baby?" I ask.

"Come on...why don't we go talk to Bruce." Nat smiles and pulls me up. I hold onto my head and stop as I feel dizzy. "When was the last time you slept?" She holds onto the sides of my face, I hiss in pain from the multiple bruises on my cheek.

"I...don't even know. I can't sleep without Tony beside me."

Steve picks me up and cradles me in his arms, he carries me to the lab and sets me down in a chair. "Bruce...do you know anything about babies. Y/N is pregnant...she needs vitamins...something to help her sleep." Nat says.

"Well...I only know a little. We don't have all the equipment here...but I have a small ultrasound machine if you wanna see your baby?"

"I'd like that." I smile.

"I can run and get you some vitamins...and I have something that is safe for you to take to sleep." He nods. "I'll do everything I can to help." I lay down on a small table and pull my shirt up, Bruce puts some cold jelly on my stomach and pushes a small device onto my stomach. "Might take me a minute...don't normally use these for babies." Bruce chuckles. Nat and Steve sit beside me, watching the screen as he moves the device around. "There...there it is." He smiles.

"It's so small." I smile. "Little peanut."

"I'd say your around five weeks now." He clicks a button and we suddenly hear its heartbeat.

"Oh my god, Y/N." Nat starts to cry.

"My baby." I whisper. "Is it okay? I didn't hurt it?"

"From what I'm seeing....It's very healthy." He nods.

"I totally call dibs on it being named after me." Nat suddenly says, making us laugh.

Bruce prints off a few photos for me and wipes my belly. "I can order some more equipment if you would like but like I said, I only know a little bit."

"I trust only you, Bruce." I smile.

"Let's give you something to sleep." He takes out a syringe and a small bottle of medicine. Nat holds onto my hand as he sticks it in my arm. "Get some rest...come and get me anytime you need me. Day or night."

"Thank you Bruce." I nod.

"I'll come check on you soon." Nat kisses my head.

"Come on." Steve scoops me up.
