I slowly wake up to see I was being dragged, suddenly the two men dragging me throw me down in front of someone. I grunt and slowly stand up to face Dreykov. "Welcome home, Y/N." He smiles and pulls me in. "I'm sorry I had to abandon you...but you seem to have figured life out." He backs away. He looks over at Nat, her cover was blown. "Is this your plan?" He then points to me.As he looks away I press the hourglass on my belt. "Our plan is to kill you." Nat nods.
"I'm alive. So, what do we do now?"
"What was our mother's name?" Nat asks.
"Ah..." Dreykov leans against his desk. "Where we buried her, there was a tree...Um...A pink blossom. Beautiful. And there was a tombstone with her name engraved on it."
"What was her name?" Nat asks again.
He chuckles, "Unknown."
"You don't feel anything? You feel anything when I killed your daughter?"
"Is this your haunted past? Really? Thank you, Natasha. You gave me my greatest weapon." He walks over to the masked man in the corner. "Say hello." He takes off his mask.....to reveal a woman. "When your bomb exploded, it nearly killed my Antonia. I had to put a chip in the back of her neck." He points at his neck, "In the back of her neck." He walks over to Nat and I. "Look at her. You find it difficult to look at her? I do. She... She watches everything and she can do it. She's a perfect mimic. And she fights just like all of your friends."
"Can she hear me?" Nat asks.
"What? You want to make her feel better? You want to tell her you're sorry? Well, you should have thought of that before you blew her face off. But enough of all this bullshit. Go to work. I have rats in the basement. Go. Go." He waves Antonia off.
"Well, that was a mistake." I smile as she leaves.
"Was it?"
"You just sent away the one thing that would stop us from killing you." I nod.
"Try, then. Do it." Nat pulls out her gun and struggles to shoot him. "Is the safety on?" He asks her, "No?" Nat grunts as she tries to shoot him. "Try your knife." He says to me. I pull my knife out and try to stab him, the knife doesn't move. "Ah..." I gasp as he twists my arm back and makes me drop my knife. "You're in trouble."
"How are you controlling us?" Nat asks as he pulls her gun away.
"I'm not controlling you. Well, not yet. But there is a pheromonal lock. Smelling my pheromones prevents you from committing violence against me." He pulls his hand up quickly at me, I flinch and back away. "I'm very upset with Melina. It's a shame I have to kill her." Dreykov sits and looks down at his tablet. "So, this was the big plan, huh? Melina was going to land the Red Room and hand me over to the authorities." He sighs and taps the tablet.
"So, what now, you're gonna fold us into your pathetic little puppeteer act?" I ask.
"Pathetic, huh?" He chuckles.
"Yeah, what would you call it? When was the last time that you had a conversation with somebody that wasn't forced to talk to you?" I ask, tilting my head.
"You ran away to fight in the wrong war. The real war was fought here, in the shadows." Dreykov shakes his head.
"You didn't fight in the shadows. You hid in the dark." Nat says.
"Real power comes from undetectable influence."
"If no one's noticed, then why even do it?" I ask, I leaning closer to him. "You're nothing. You have nothing."
