Chapter 50 - Gone

I put on my suit for the first time in five years, loading up my weapons and putting on the Quantum device. I push a button to make the Quantum suit appear on me, walking onto the panel with the team. 

Nat and I would be going to Vormir while Rhodey, Nebula, and Clint go to Morag. Rocket and Thor go to Asgard. And Steve, Tony, Scott, and Bruce go to New York.

"Five years ago, we lost. All of us. We lost friends... We lost family... We lost a part of ourselves. Today, we have a chance to take it all back. You know your teams, you know your missions. Get the stones, get them back. One round trip each. No mistakes. No do-overs. Most of us are going somewhere we know. But it doesn't mean we should know what to expect. Be careful. Look out for each other. This is the fight of our lives. And we're gonna win." Tony and Steve look at each other as Steve finishes his speech. "Whatever it takes. Good luck."

"You be careful." Tony smiles at me.

"You too." I lean up to kiss him. "I love you."

"Love you more." Tony kisses my cheek and stows back, turning to bruce. "All right. You heard the man. Stroke those keys, jolly green."

"Tractors engaged."

"You promise to bring that back in one piece, right?" Rocket asks me, referring to his shrunken ship in my hand. 

"Yeah, yeah. Okay. I'll do my best." I nod.

"As promises go, that was pretty lame." He mutters.

Nat smiles, "See you in a minute."

We all shrink down into the Quantum Realm, all splitting up. 

Rhodey, Nebula, Nat, and I land on Morag. We get the ship situated and Rhodey directs a pod down. "Alright. Bring it down low. Right on that line. That's it. Down, down."

"Hey, can we hurry it up?" I ask.

"Guys, chop-chop. Come on. We're on a clock." Nat adds.

"All that, is really helpful." Rhodey points. He then smiles and pulls me in to hug him. "Take care, okay?"

"You too, Buddy." I smile.

"Take that stone and come back. No messing around." Rhodey says as he hugs Nat. I nod and walk with her to the ship. "You guys watch each other's six."

We look back and smile, walking to the front of the ship and sitting down. I buckle in and take a deep breath as we take off, Nat clicks a few buttons and sits back as we start jumping through space.

"Holy shit!" I yell. Nat's head falls back as she laughs. 

After awhile we stop to see a planet...Vormir. "Wow. Under different circumstances, this would be totally awesome." I smile as we land down.

We both had to take a long hike up a mountain...I was literally dying from all this exercise. "I bet the raccoon didn't have to climb a mountain." I mutter.

"Technically, he's not a raccoon, you know."

"Whatever. He eats garbage." I shake my head as we reach the top. 

"Welcome." We draw our guns and spin as we hear a voice, seeing a floating figure in a cloak. "Natasha and Y/N, daughter of Ivan."

"Who are you?" Nat asks.

"Consider me a guide. To you, and to all who seek the Soul Stone."

"Oh, good. You tell us where it is. Then we'll be on our way." I nod.
