Virgil sits on Prince Roman's bed- the prince sitting next to him- as he picks at his nails. He makes a mental note to repaint them when he gets the chance. The two men sit in an almost awkward silence, not sure what to say. Their relationship seemed to be going well, but Roman also continued to let his jealousy in front of him, so recently they've been arguing. It's not Virgil's fault, he just needs to keep things up for his work.

A knock on Roman's door brought the two out of their silence. Roman stands up, straightening his clothing, before walking to the large doors. He opens it and immediately embraces the person outside into a hug. Virgil moves slightly to look, but doesn't mind all that much and goes back to looking at his nails.

"Come on in, good sir." Roman smiles, moving out of the way. The person steps in, their eyes scanning the room before they notice Virgil sitting on the overkill bed.

"Your highness, what are you doing with the town witch?" He asks. That makes Virgil snap his head up, not quite sure what to think of his status being revealed.

"Witch?" Roman questions, now glaring at Virgil, "Virgil, what does he mean by the town witch?"

Virgil rolls his eyes and stands up, clapping, "Yes, 'tis I a horrible witch here to curse you all." He rolls his eyes and snaps, his hood being replaced with his usual witches hat and his jacket being replaced by a purple velvet cloak both adorned with golden and silver chains as well as a few jewels.

"Why... Why was I not informed of this information?" Roman asks, his rage rising.

"I knew that you wouldn't be accepting of it. A prince should not be with a witch, especially the son of King William."

"And you still decided to date me?"

"Indeed." Virgil says, now fully stood up and looking towards the door. He just wants this over with so he can go see Patton. Anyone could see how this will turn out and he just wants to leave.

"You're absolutely insane! Your right, a prince should not ever date a prince! We are over and you are officially banned from the palace. If you step foot on these grounds I will have you punished!" He nods, holding back the tears welling up in his eyes. He chants a silent spell and disappears from the room, repearring on the streets, a bit further away from the palace. He pulls his hat down more onto his face, trying his hardest to ignore the snarky comments he hears while walking through the streets. He sees a few people blocking the entrances into their shacks and shops as well. And people wonder why he isn't nice to people, they act like he is Satan himself. However, his friends and customers know he is a very kind and gentle person.

He soon starts walking faster, the chains on his hat and cloak making small jingling noises as his cloak flies behind him with his hurried steps. He navigates through the town, hearing things like "Burn him at the stake!". Soon, the ground turns uneven and the buildings around him turn old and broken down. The area just overall dulls. He takes a few different memorized turns and walks into a brighter coloured building- the healer shop. He pushes the door open and there stands Healer Patton, baby blue tunic and brown pants like always. He is working on someone, but turns and quickly notices Virgil.

"Heyo kiddo!" Patton calls towards Virgil with a smile before turning back to the taller person sitting in the chair.

"Pat, I'm a year older than you." Virgil says, rolling his eyes, "We'll talk later, you've got a patient right now." Patton nods. Virgil goes further into the building on the black and purple stool Patton got specifically for him.

"So," Patton starts, talking to both Virgil and the man sitting in the chair in front of Patton, "Prince Logan, this is Witch Virgil. Virgil this is Prince Logan."

"Hello your Highness." Virgil says, nodding his head enough to show some ounce of respect.

"Greetings Sir Virgil, you're the one that's dating my brother, no?" Logan says back.

"I mean, I was. He, uh, found out I was a witch and broke up with me. Now I'm banned from the palace."

Patton looks up and gives Virgil a small side hug and a reassuring smile before going back to working on Logan's arm, "I'm sorry about that Virge."

"It's fine. He was bound to find out sooner or later. What bothers me is how insensitive the townsfolk are here. Even the royal guard."

"They think witches and warlocks are bad." Patton says disapprovingly as he shakes his head. He reaches out to grab some of the herbs I gave him, "But they don't know that witches and healers go hand in hand." He shakes the bag of herbs in his hand to stress his point.

"Speaking of which, do you need more herbs?"

"Nope! I've got plenty for now, business has been slow recently."

"Alright," Virgil turns to Prince Logan, "Why are you in here after all, your Highness? If you don't mind me asking."

"Just call me Logan." Logan nods, "And I am here as one of the guards didn't want to go without a fight."

"Oh."

Patton sighs, "That must've been a pretty hard hit. He cut to the bone. And this bruise is no good." The man gestures to the bruise on Logan's arm while he mashes the herbs in a pestle and mortar. They all sit in silence until Patton finishes his work.

"Done!" He cheers, looking quite pleased with his bandage work.

"Thank you sir Patton. However, now I must take my leave. My brother and I have a meeting." He nods and hands Patton money- even though he insisted Logan didn't have to pay him- and says goodbye before leaving.

Patton wipes his hands on his pants and turns to Virgil, "I'm sure you'll find someone better than Prince Roman soon."

"Thanks Pat. But it's hard when only warlocks and witches talk to me. And even then they only come in for their needs."

"I know, but you'll find the right one for you!"

Virgil offers a soft smile, closing his eyes, "Thanks Patton."

"No problem kiddo!" Virgil rolls his eyes at the nickname and makes his way to the door. He opens it and almost bumps into someone walking in. They growl at him but he ignores them and continues on his way back to his shop. He walks down the old dirt road until he notices someone he knows. She is dropping someone off at their destination.

"Katherine!" He calls in her direction.

The woman turns around to him and smiles. She has long, ginger hair and blue eyes with darker skin. Even then, her freckles still show very obviously and her friendly smile is almost contagious. "Hello there Virgil! Do you need a ride?"

"I do indeed need a right."

"Alright! Hop on in. I assume we're going to your shop?" Katherine smiles. Virgil nods and hops into the carriage. She sets off on the bumpy dirt road. A few minutes later the carriage stops and Virgil gets off and hands the woman money. He unlocks the door and walks in, closing the door and locking it behind him.
