Honey's attention was fixated on the vibrant saturated hues of cerulean that adorned her 10x10 landscape canvas. She held the brush between her fingers as she decisively stroked a thin layer of paint over the monochrome composition of her art assignment. The dim flames of her burning tea light candles provided enough light for her to paint in contentment.

The angelic harmonizing vocals of Brent Faiyaz lulled her into a serene state as she sat perched on the barstool within her dorm, focused intently on her completing the background of her silhouetted painting. Honey waited until she had the dorm to herself to work on her art assignment. Although, she loved her best friend to death. They've both noticed how hard it is to do homework while they're around each other. All they wanted to do was talk and have a blast, which hindered their ability to focus on their work.

They agreed on completing their homework in the library, study hall or dorm if one of them weren't present. Due to them being on the cheerleading team and having an academic scholarship. They had to make sure their grades were their top priority. It was only the third week of school. Surprisingly, Honey has been keeping up with her work and cheerleading practice. She never thought she could multi-task like this, but it was better this way mainly because of the strict schedule she committed herself to. She went to cheerleading practice three times a week from Monday through Wednesday from 3pm til 6pm. She used Thursday through Saturday for her homework. Sunday being her day of rest. So far, it's been working out well for Honey after she adjust to the workload that college had to offer.

However, since her 19th birthday was coming up during Labor Day weekend. She was going to adjust her schedule for that special day. Honey hated that her birthday was in the beginning of the school year. She could never celebrate it the way she wanted because of school. It didn't help that right after her birthday, her university was having their first football game of the season. Xena warned her how rigorous practice was going to become because they'll be cheering in front of hundreds of people and there was no room for them to mess up.

If Honey wasn't nervous before she was definitely shitting bricks now. Xena reassured her that they were going to kill it and look amazing while doing so. Their cheer uniforms was a sleeveless dress that were comprised of shades of purple, black and white. It was the shortest dress Honey was ever going to wear, but she knew her undergarments would be covered. Xena explained to her that the cheer uniform dresses were short because they needed less restriction as possible to perform their routines.

Speaking of Xena, out of all the other cheerleaders, Honey had taken a liking to her. She was so sweet, helpful and down to earth. Xena and Honey related to each other in many ways, it has been smooth sailing since they began to hanging out after practice. They mostly carried on conversations of small talk and joked around. Xena was well liked by the student body and Honey could see why.

Suddenly, loud banging on her door pulled Honey from her thoughts.

She checked the time on her phone, her eyebrows knitted in confusion. It was nearing 10pm and her best friend texted her earlier about hanging out at Varsity the diner in downtown Atlanta a half an hour ago. Wait she has her own swipe key though. It's probably Royce or Angel, it better be an emergency for them to beating on my door like the Feds.
