Honey had been standing in front of this door for quite a while, her eyes blankly roamed over the glass pane embedded into the wooden surface. The familiar nerve wracking sensation crushed her chest, making it difficult to breathe as smoothly as she would've liked. Her vision darkened around the edges as she remained immobile in the passageway.
Whenever Honey attended her therapy sessions she would often feel a fleeting sense of panic or anxiety. The office elicited unwanted reminders of her condition when she first arrived from being discharged a couple of months prior. She was urged by her physician to consider going to therapy short-term for treatment concerning any mental trauma she may have suffered due to the circumstances surrounding her injury. Initially, she refused profusely because she certain she was okay aside from her physical injuries. However, as soon as she discovered the state of upturned dorm..to put it lightly, she freaked out.
Someone had ransacked her side of the room..mattresses were torn apart, drawers pulled from the dresser and her clothes were thrown everywhere. Her guess was Spencer or his goons took it upon themselves to search for his money he thought she had as her bestfriend was away at the hospital visiting Honey earlier that day.
Honey was disturbed to say the least, knowing that Spencer aware of her whereabouts, coming and going whenever he pleased while somehow remaining under the radar. Coincidentally, Spencer decides to stop by her dorm on the very day she's discharged? Honey knew better which is why she got the authorities involved. She still was too afraid to tell them that she knew exactly who it was, but instead directed them to her destroyed room. She praying they found fingerprints or some kind of DNA, even though it was unlikely.
The campus police investigated the ordeal, blocking off her dorm room from bystanders as Honey and Cyn met with the Resident Life Coordinator to be granted a room change in different wing for safety measures. Although, she knew Spencer could find her anywhere she went, it still gave her a peace of mind anyways. Mainly, because she wasn't in the same environment that harbored memories she wanted to forget. Plus, she was rarely left alone in her new dorm room. Since her family couldn't put her under 24/7 surveillance due her adamant refusal of moving back home. The next best thing was having her friends watch over her from time to time, when they weren't busy. Angel, Cyn, Xena, Noir and even DJ took turns to check on her, which she appreciated dearly.
Whenever she wasn't entertaining her friends. She was completing her assignments and exams online, a courtesy of her professors so she didn't have to physically attend any classes. It was a welcomed distraction that helped her cope with being with by herself. An upside to being isolated in her room is that she hadn't caught a glimpse of anyone she didn't want to see like Royce for example.
In spite of his apologies, she still hadn't forgiven him for not being there for her. In Honey's mind, he was already one second away from switching up on her for his homeboys. It also didn't help that Cyn told her that there were rumors floating around about what happened and Royce was at the center, running his mouth to anyone willing to listen. Honey figured that the news of her being shot would spread like a wildfire on campus. Since everyone was nosy and nothing like this ever occurred to a student before, but to have someone that was her friend being the ringleader of the outrageous rumors was ridiculous especially when he wasn't even there.
