The unknown number that called her was indeed Nadia confirming to Honey that Jericho was actually telling the truth. Nevertheless, it did nothing to alter how angry Honey became. In Honey's mind, it was a complete invasion of privacy to have someone following her without her knowledge. Honey had been walking on eggshells and terrified out of her mind because Jericho had lurked in the shadows due to Nadia's orders.
Honey felt like there were numerous options that Nadia could've chosen to show her appreciation for Honey helping her out when she was in bind. As the days passed, she had to look over her compassion and empathy for Nadia's situation and focus more on Nadia as a person. Honey didn't believe that Nadia's jealousy and dislike for her completely diminished because Honey helped her one time. Honey doesn't put anything pass Nadia. She could be capable of anything. Her past alone is enough justification for Honey to be skeptical. In addition to the noticeable holes in both Jericho's and Nadia's explanation about how they were trying to 'look out' for her.
Honey was strongly convinced that Nadia had an ulterior motive for having Jericho follow her.
What that ulterior motive was? She didn't know. From the way Nadia showed up on her doorstep bruised and beaten to Blue's information on what Nadia been up to. It's clear that Nadia had been getting affiliated with people she had no business getting close to. Was she keeping track of Honey to get over on her? To be sure Honey hadn't spoken to Spencer or vice versa? To pin something on her? To set her up? The possibilities were endless. Even though Honey wanted to get to the bottom of this mystery. She knew it was in her best interest to wipe her hands clean of Nadia and it stay far from anything that had to do with her. Nothing good will come out of further associating herself with Nadia, Jericho or anyone running the streets.
Honey wanted to keep herself and loved ones safe.
"I'm so glad you've recovered from your injury! We all missed having you at cheer practice and the football games!"
Honey mentally shook away her thoughts, smiling at a chirpy Xena who leaned against her dorm room's doorframe. "Me too! I was blessed to not have broken or sprained anything. I'm looking forward to cheering again to be honest." She confessed, slightly giddy. She stopped spinning in the rolling chair at her desk, feeling dizzy from rotating so much. Ever since she was a child she always wanted her own rolling chair to spin around in like she was on a rollercoaster or some kind of ride. She was a kid at heart in that aspect and didn't care how silly she looked. However, if she kept it up her food would come back up.
"It was so difficult doing our routines without a 12th person. Honey, you have to be more careful going down the stairs. I know it's steep in the east wing that's why you have to take one step at time not two." Asia chimed in from her place on Honey's and Cyn's Persian rug, flipping through a fashion magazine as she crunched on a handful of caramel popcorn from the salad bowl next to her.
