Chapter 8

Lisa

I was in the office the next day when I received jennie's text that she would be coming in after lunch. Two things.

First- I didn't know that she know my number.
Second-  I bought the right coffee for her. Tsk!

Okay, I'm really disappointed that I can only be with her for half a day. It's already Friday. It will be quite a while before we meet again.

I worked all day and because I was sad without jennie, I didn’t have lunch. Maybe later when she arrives. I want to see her first, for more energy more happy.

I lifted my head from my screen when I noticed someone approaching my desk. She's beautiful, she's beautiful because she looks like Jennie. Even though she is 20 years older than Jennie.

White, smooth skin, just a more friendly smile than my grampy boss. But it cannot be denied that they are related. Is she Jennie's mom?

"Hi." The lady said.
"Good afternoon, Ma'am." I greeted and bow. "How can i help you?" I asked. "Is Jennie here?"

"Oh, ma'am. I'm sorry. Miss Kim will be coming after lunch." I glanced at my watch, 12:35PM. "About 1PM she's probably already here."

"I see. I should have called." The lady said. "But i want to surprise her. I just got back from japan. I'm min young. Jennie's aunt. You must be Lisa." She offered her hand and I took it. "Yes, Ma'am." I'm wondering. "Did Ma'am Jennie..." Did jennie tell me about her aunt. "Oh! It was actually your uncle seo joon," Ma'am said smiling. "The two of us are... Friends. He mentioned that you were working for Jennie."

Oh, I thought jennie was telling me to her relatives. I just hope so. "I see. I just got nervous, ma'am. Because if she does, i'm sure it's all complaint." I said smiling.

"She actually mentioned you to me," She said jokingly. "But let's not talk about that. Just let me say that my niece is very loyal. Whoever replaces nayeon, she can't get along right away." And that made me feel a bit better.

"Please have a sit first, ma'am." I invited her. "If you want to wait for her, I'll get you some coffee first." "Why, thank you." She told me with a smile. She sat on the sofa near my table. "I'd love that." She continue. "You're welcome, ma'am. Just a minute."

When jennie arrived before 1PM, aunt min young and I were close.

"Aunty?"
"Jennie!" Said aunt min young before approaching my boss. They kissed other cheeks and hugged tightly.
"You said you would go home next week. I wasn't expecting you. " My boss said happily. "Well, surprise." Aunt min young said while laughing. "But, since it's already late i won't take you to lunch anymore. I doubt you still have time."

My boss looked at her watch "Actually, no aunty. I can't go out anymore. I have 1:30."
"Oh,well," Aunt min young sigh. "Anyway, I just wanted to surprise you."

"We have a dinner at home on sunday, aunty. Remember? You're coming, right?" Jennie asked.
"Of course." They kissed each other cheeks again. Then aunt min young turned to me and kissed me on the cheek. I got surprised. And based on the look of my boss, she was surprised too.

"It was nice meeting you, Lisa. I would like you to say hello to me to your uncle soon, but I'll be talking to him later." I just nod, smile and i'm sure my face were all red because of her kiss. Yeah. I blushed. Sometimes, so what? It's a biological reaction. I can't control it.  "The pleasure is all mine, ma'am." I said shyly.
