Lisa
I took Jennie to the ground floor of our building when her dad came to pick her up. They have a site visit. I just can't go with them because I have a meeting at two o'clock.
I went through 7-Eleven to buy lunch. I'm too lazy to drive away just to take lunch and I don't want to eat in the pantry alone again. I was about to return to the building carrying a hotdog sandwich and a giant paper cup of MOUNTAIN DEW when I saw Nancy entering there. She was wearing a large pair of sunglasses. She approached me.
"Hey!" I greeted her, smiling.
"Hi," She said in a hoarse voice, I got nervous.
"Lisa, I need to talk to you."
"All right." I pressed the elevator button.
"Let's just talk in the pantry. Have you had lunch yet?" She shook her head.
"But it's okay. I have no appetite." She said.
I don't like this. I also seem to have lost my appetite. We were quiet in the elevator up to our floor. I feel Nancy is tense. I let her into the office. I left the sandwich on my table but I brought the MOUNTAIN DEW when I guided Nancy to the pantry. Even though she didn't like it, I bought her a Coke in a can at the vendo machine before I let her sit on one of the chairs.
She held the can and I looked at her. She still doesn't take off her glasses.
"What is it?" I asked, curious and concerned.
This time, she sobbed as she bent down.
"Minho and I are done. He broke up with me last night." Nancy said.
If I didn't control my hand, my paper cup of soft drinks might explode because I grip my hand there.
"Why?" I asked even if I know the reasons.
"Because he knew that you will ask Jennie to get married."
I knew it. Shit!Nancy raised a hand to wipe her eyes under her glasses. I took the handkerchief from my back pocket and handed it to her.
She took it and took her sunglasses off. Her eyes were red and swollen.
"He said to me," she sobbed, took a deep breath, and looked right at me.
"He told me it made him realize that he loves Jennie. And that he wasn't going to lose her to you. God, Lisa!" she bent down and started to cry.
"I'm so stupid! Why did I force myself on him, when I know he loves Jennie?" Nancy said.
I didn't speak even though I wanted to scream and say, "You? YOU? How about me? That asshole plans to steal my girlfriend!" It was her moment so I gave it to her.
I just put my arms around her and patted her on the shoulder until she stopped crying.
But while comforting her, I thought of something. FUCKSHIT! This is the 'personal issue' that Jennie was talking about yesterday that Minho told her. It didn't concern us? Really? Bullshit, we are the center of Minho's issue.
Maybe not for Jennie, but for Minho, it involved her. Minho broke up with Nancy because of Jennie, or did he forget to tell my girlfriend?

Around 3 o'clock, the door to our office opened and I saw Minho approaching my desk. His asshole face and arrogance were evident in his walk. I hope you stumble, you jerk.
