Lisa

I really struggle all day. This is probably how someone with PMS feels. This morning, There are two cars that I almost bumped because they were crowding in and entering my lane on the street. And there are also couple who jaywalking that I almost bump because they were like walking at the mall while crossing. I cursed a lot inside my car because of bad mood.

This is not really my day today. The coffee I bought at Starbucks was too sweet and the coffee at the office vending was too lack of flavor. The internet is so slow. There are a lot of e-mails. The desk phone keep ringing but my smartphone remained silent.

Jennie is offline in the chat and just texted me that she might not be able to call all day because the last day of the conference was so busy.

I think I easily breath and got in a good mood when I arrived at the KIMs' Mansion and I was greeted with a hug and kiss on the cheek by Aunt Hye kyo. My hug with her was a bit tight because I felt like I missed her too.

We went to the kitchen where the things we were going to use were ready. Because she will teach me to cook that pasta dish that Jennie cooked when we were in Jeju. That was my surprise with her.

When Aunt Hye kyo made sure the ingredients were complete, we got out and went to my car. I let the couple sit at the backseat because the fruits and flowers sent by Jennie are comfortable in my passenger seat.

Aunt Hye kyo was embarrassed because they said they made me a driver. I just laughed and said that's really my role.

We went to Oppah Kai's unit when we reached his building. Uncle Joongki brought the fruits and Aunt Hye kyo was watching him while we were in the elevator because she was sure that Uncle would smuggle some grapes.

Aunt Hye kyo helped me prepare the ingredients but when it was time to cook, she actually let me. I was so nervous that it was as if the pot would explode when I made a mistake to put the ingredients.

"You can do it." Uncle cheered from the counter while I was holding the bowl that Aunt Hye kyo put the pancetta.

"That's just the first ingredients." She said.

"It might explode, Aunty." I said to Jennie's mom.

"It's just fried, Lisa," Aunt Hye kyo said laughing. She was also seated at the counter, next to her husband. They are already holding hands and I am jealous. It took a while for my wife to go home.

Just one night, Lisa.

"The pasta is okay now, Lisa." Aunty said.

"Take it out and add it to your sauce." She also said.

I worked for a while, I was burned a few times, but when I put the serving plate full of creamy pasta in the middle of the kitchen island, I felt like I had won the war.

"Wow, it looks delicious," Uncle said while eyeing the food.

"Let's taste that already." He also said.

"Later!" Aunt Hye kyo said. I already doubted. Aunt Hye kyo doesn't seem to want to feed Uncle. Doesn't she trust my cooking?

"Salad first, Lisa. Then the bread." She said.

"What time is your Oppah Kai arrive?" Uncle asked me as I cut the baguette according to General Kim's specification. Why this bread is so hard?

"About 8 I think. He said he was going somewhere before coming home here." I said.

When I finished the salad at the bread, we helped each other bring the foods to Oppah Kai's dining room that we rarely use.

"See? That's how you set the table when Jennie and you have a lunch date." Aunt Hye kyo said after we finished setting up the table. I smiled and turned to Jennie's mom.

"It's so beautiful, Aunty. Thank you so much." I said.

"You're welcome." She said and patted my cheek.

"Are we not going to eat yet?" Uncle's carving.

Aunt Hye kyo Laughingly slapped her husband's arm.

"Let's wait for Kai. It's also quarter to 8." Aunty said.

And as if timed, I heard the door to the living room open.

"Lisa?" Oppah Kai called.

"At the dining!" I shouted. He peeked at the door.

"Hi!" He happily greeted us. He has a wide grin at his face, looks like he's happy.

He finally entered the dining room.

"Good evening. I'm sorry I'm late. I went to somewhere." He said.

"Where did you go?" I curiously asked.

"To her." Oppah replied before pointing the space behind him. Jennie was there.

All stopped, my heart, the time, as well as my world. I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I don't know if she was really there or I was just imagining because I missed her so much. I don't know if I'll go to her because maybe she's not really there.

But she smiled at me.

That's when I made a noise. I don't know what kind, just a little sound coming from my nose. After that, I ran to her.

She laughed so hard when my body collided at her. I hugged her, lifted her off the floor and turned her around once before I let her down again. But I did not let her go. I don't even know, she might not be able to breathe but I can't relax my arms. It's a good thing she hugged me just as tightly.

I just buried my face at her neck. Her arms were wrapped around me, her hands moving up and down my back, her own face buried against my shoulder while we rocked each other from side to side.

"You are here now," I said, still buried my face at her neck. She's really smells good! The smell of her skin, her shampoo, soap and the fragrance that came to her.

"Yeah." She laughed and the sound soothed my heart.

"I'm home," She said. She caressed my cheek, I encouraged to look at her, and in front of her parents and my brother, we kissed each other like there's no tomorrow.

She was home, in my arms, where she belonged. I realized while I'm hugging her, that I was home, too.
