Arthur was walking into a world meeting in Denmark with a baby bag and Alfred in a baby sling. He had dressed the boy in a white tee shirt with navy rocket ships on it and navy overalls. He had on white sneakers and frilly white socks. He was fast asleep as Arthur rubbed his head, smiling softly. Canada noticed his baby brother coming his way and ran up, his suit cleanly pressed.

"Arthur, I'll take Alfie today," he whispered, "I already told Matthias everything, so he is ready to move a cradle into my hotel room,"

"Are you sure, lad? I'm sure you will be tired once the meeting is concluded. Life as a superpower is tiring, after all,"

"Hey, don't doubt me!" Canada pouted but then smiled, "besides, I never get to spend time with Alfred! You and Papa always take him,"

"Oui, because as a superpower, your job is already too hard," France ruffled Matthew's hair and chuckled, "adding a child on top of that would be too much,"

"Alfred would never be too much!" the shout prompted to awake Alfred, who looked around.

"Big brother, are we ate the meeting yet? I wanna see Mattie," Alfred rubbed his eyes and turned his head, Matthew peeked around and smiled.

"Well, hello Alfred,"

"Mattie!" Alfred made grabby hands, which prompted Matthew to reach into the baby sling and pick Alfred up, "how are you, big brother?! Did you really beat up those meanies on your ice shoes?!"

"You mean my hockey game? Yes, I did beat those meanies up! I even won! How was staying with big brother Artie?"

"Good, he kept reading me fairy tales. We read one where this girl had really long hair! And another about a girl who lost a shoe! My favorite was about a boy who had magic beans! He got to touch the sky, just like you did! But, he didn't get as far as you did," Matthew chuckled and nodded.

"Yeah, nobody will get as far as big brother. I'll always be the best for you, Alfred,"

"Zere jou are, Matthew," Germany looked out in the hall and smiled, "Alfred! Jou're here! Gilbert said he vould vatch jou during the meeting!"

"Big brother, Ludiwg! I wanna say hi to everyone before I go with Big brother Gilbert!" Alfred folded his hands together, "pretty please with puppies and sprinkles!" Ludwig laughed fondly and nodded.

"Be quick, Alfred. Ve vere suppose to start five minutes ago," Alfred nodded as Matthew let Alfred down. The small colony went into the meeting room and waved.

"Hello everybody!"

"Hello, Alfred!" everybody said in unison. Everybody, even Sweden, was smiling at the young colony. Switzerland walked over and handed Alfred a box of chocolates.

"I made these for you, little one. I hope you like them, Big sister Lilli helped," Alfred licked his lips.

"Dank-she, Big brother Basch," all the Germanic nations snickered under their breaths.

"It is just 'dank-y' Alfred, but jou're learning," Gilbert approached and picked him up, "now, we should be going. I've got an awesome day planned while zese guys vork," Alfred smiled and clapped. He then looked to the crowd of nations and waved.

"Have a good meeting everybody! Do great things!" Gilbert brought the boy out and walked out of the building. They were going to go to the park first, so this way Alfred could let some energy out.

Gilbert sat on a bench and watched as Alfred played in the sandbox, making a sand mountain. Alfred happily giggled as a young girl joined him in the sandbox and began playing with him.

"Is that cutie-pie yours?" a woman asked as she sat next to Gilbert. Gilbert looked at her and nodded, smiling as he turned his eyes back to Alfred.

"Yep, zat's mein little bruder. Is ze girl jours?"

"Yep! I'm Viv, that little one is Sara,"

"Gilbert, und zat is Alfred,"

"Hm, unique names,"

"Danke, I guess," Gilbert got very weird vibes from this woman, but couldn't place it.

Viv stroke up some meaningless conversation with Gilbert until he noticed is was about time for lunch. Gilbert got up and was about to call Alfred when Viv touched his hand. Gilbert looked over to her.

"Would you mind giving me your number? Maybe we can arrange a playdate,"

"No thanks, mein bruder und I are foreigners,"

"Please,"

"Nein! Alfred, lets-" Gilbert turned and saw Alfred and Sara were gone. He went to turn around and speak to Viv, but she was gone too. Gilbert felt a rush of panic overcome him as he ran to the sandbox, "Alfred! Alfred!!!" he noticed Viv getting into a red car and speeding off. He gaped in horror as he saw Alfred was in the back seat, waving at him and crying.

Gilbert took immediate action, calling emergency services, who put out the vehicle description to police. Gilbert called Canada next, knowing that he would want to know. All the nations would want to know, but Canada would want to know the most. Gilbert knew that Matthew would probably kill him for allowing it to happen, but he also knew that Matthew would not stop until Alfred was found.

After all, you can't kidnapped the sole superpower's baby brother and expect things to go your way.

"Gilbert, we're in the middle of something,"

"It's about Alfred,"

"What...aboot...Alfred?" Matthew was already lacing his tone with venom.

"He...vell-"

"Gilbert, I swear to maple, if anything happened to him you better tell me right now!" yep, he was yelling, he was totally screwed.

"Alfred vas kidnapped, zis lady und her kid vere playing around. Ze lady forced me to turn my back for a second, Matthew! When I looked back, ze little girl had lured Alfred avay! I already gave a description to the police of ze car und everybody!"

Matthew was silent and the entire meeting hall was looking at him. They hadn't heard what Gilbert was saying, but judging the murder in Matthew's eyes was enough to speak volumes.

"What does that bitch and her gremlin look like?" Gilbert gave the description and hung up, "Alfred was taken, who's helping me get him back?"

Everybody stood up and nodded, they knew damn well that if they didn't that Matthew would make them. They wasted no time in tracking down the woman and her child, locating Alfred in less than an hour. The moment Canada knew Alfred's location, he stormed out of the meeting hall with Russia and Japan behind him.

The trio raided a warehouse in an abandoned area, where many young boys were found. Alfred was being kept in a cage when Japan found him.

"Arfred-chan! I'm here," Japan used his katana to shatter the lock, opening the cage and kneeling down. Alfred began crying and clutched Japan tightly.

"Japan, have you found him?!" Russia asked loudly as he ran in. He noticed the bundle of petrified cuteness and knelt down next to him, "Fredka, it is ok now. Your big brothers are here!" Russia picked him out of Japan's arms and rocked him, smiling as Alfred calmed down.

Matthew finally appeared and nearly broke down into tears when he saw Russia holding Alfred.

"Alfie! Alfie, it's ok! I'm here! I won't ever leave again!" he clutched Alfred closer and kissed his head repeatedly. After a few hours, Hungary and Austria decided to take Alfred to their room while Matthew "dealt" with the trash.
