Siren!Ivan x Pirate!Alfred

________________________________________________

Arthur had taught Alfred everything when it came to the sea: how to manage his crew, how to maintain his ship, and how to fight off anyone who would dare board his vessel. The elder brother made sure everything Alfred needed, he had. On long pillaging voyages, Arthur would make maps of uncharted islands for Alfred to explore. It was his favorite thing to do.

However, when Alfred was merely a boy, Arthur was lost at sea. He no longer sent letters, word of his excessive pillaging ceased, and many presumed him dead. Every night, well until midnight, Alfred would wait at the docks for Arthur's ship. And every night, it would be Allistor who would take a sleeping Alfred back home.

Alfred grew to be a strong young man, who unlike his brother, used his excessive knowledge for the benefit of others. Now, don't get him wrong, he knew Arthur loved him. Arthur's entire existence shifted when Alfred came into the picture. Everything Arthur did, he did for Alfred. He did everything he could to make him happy, healthy, and wealthy.

But there was one thing Arthur hid from Alfred, something his entire family would never reveal until Alfred was ready. It was on the eve of his 18th birthday, that Allistor finally revealed the prized family secret. This is where we begin the tale~

"Uncle Allistor, you wished to see me?" Alfred asked as he opened the door to the Scottish man's study.

"Aye, lad, come in," Allistor put down his quill as Alfred walked into the cozy den, "take a seat," Alfred did as told, "now, ye' know how the family has been keepin' a secret from ya?"

"Yes, uncle,"

"Well, I figured it's time ye' knew it," Allistor stood from his chair and looked through his bookshelf, finally pulling a large black book with gold trim. Alfred tilted his head to read the title, nearly falling off the chair when his brain registered the words.

The Sea's Vast Treasures
Written by Arthur Kirkland

"Is that-"

"Aye, it is. Arthur's wrote many follies upon his trips. He wished to deter sailors from vast lands so that you may collect them first," he gave the book to Alfred, "but, he also wrote logs of his travels. Many, many entries entailing what it is he faced. I want you to read this, then we will talk," Alfred nodded and walked out of the study, proceeding to go to the library and read. He read every entry without a qualm, but it was the final entries that piqued his interest.

I have discovered an island that looks to be filled with resources. The native peoples seem to have darker skin, almost as if they are dirty and had never bathed. There are massive amounts of produce that I also have yet to see back home, weirdly shaped fruits and strange creatures. I shall mark this place on the map for Alfred, he will be the one to discover this treasure.

The natives have begun to get hostile towards my crew, they are a frightening folk. They scream in a tongue I never understand, nor do I wish to learn. The night has begun to fill with strange noises, ones of which are both chilling and also alluring. It is as if my entire entity is being beckoned. I plan to depart from the island when the tide comes in, I no longer wish to stay.
