"Juniors are such hardheads," a laugh erupted from the four boys. All heads turned to them for a split second, but turned away knowing that it was probably just another dumb insult or joke. The group was known for their constant teasing. Most people liked them and the ones that didn't were smart enough to keep it to themselves.

The four seniors stood up in unison, Evan first speaking. "For all the seniors, I'm hosting a party this weekend in celebration of the new school year. Tell your friends. And if anyone decides to crash the party, there'll be punishments."

The whole cafeteria knew what 'punishment' meant: a brutal beat down. Even though the four were somewhat nice, it didn't mean that they would use their strength to their own advantage. The threat was ignored though and the seniors talked amongst themselves in excitement. Along with that came sighs and complaints from the underclass.

Throughout the rest of the day, the party was the only things that seemed to last. Whether it was complaining about not being able to go or shouting for being able to, the whole school was in chatter. The address was posted on Evan's twitter. The party was planned on a Saturday night, which gave the teenagers a day to cancel prior plans.

Along the corridor, a petite girl trudged slowly through the swarm of hormonal teenagers towards her locker. Her raven hair was styled into a messy bun, since she had no desire for them to fall in front of her face. The path from her last period to her locker had been much more cluttered than usual.

To her surprise, a fight broke out between the one of the school's most popular students and a jock, which conveniently took place in front of the tired girl's locker.

By the time she had arrived, a swarm of students, most of them being much taller than she, crowded the scene. She managed to push her way through the crowd and near the actual fight. The two who were fighting were Evan and Nathan, the soccer captain. It was rumored that Evan had supposedly made out with Nathan's girlfriend, or ex-girlfriend to be. The rumor was probably true and fighting always seemed like a good way to settle a conflict according to teenage boys.

Evan's bottom lip was splotched with blood, but Nathan had it much worse. The soccer captain had already formed a bruise on his cheek and his right eye was slightly shut. Evanee knew it wasn't her place to break up the fight, but she needed to get to her locker before the bus left. The girl quickly jumped in between the two, swiftly dodging a punch from Nathan that was originally directed towards Evan.

It was a funny sight. Two 5'8 teenage boys being pushed apart by a girl who only reached 5'2. It wasn't difficult to see that the boys were confused and still very angry. "If you don't mind, I would like to get to my locker and you two are in the way."

The crowd of about thirty people were surprised by the girl's confidence. It was rare seeing anyone stop one of the members from "the crew" and certainly not a girl.

"And who the hell do you think you are, bitch?" Evan spat. Nathan looked just as angry but avoided saying anything, probably because his jaw hurt too much to open.

Evanee put on the sweetest smile she could and looked Evan straight in the eye. "How strange it is for you to call me that since we both know I'm not the one here who's got his panties in a twist." A smug smile replaced her sweet expression and she lightly pushed both boys away from her, reaching her locker. It was awfully silent as she took some of her books from her locker and placed some of the items in her bag neatly inside. As she turned around, a hand smacked her book and binder out of her hands.

Obviously, Evanee's insult took a huge hit to Evan's ego, so much that the fight was forgotten and Nathan had walked away from the crowd. The crowd, however, hung onto every word the two were saying.
