"You want to go with me to the skate park?" Jonathan asked incredulously.
Of course, he wanted Evanee there, but none of his friends ever asked if they could tag along whenever he went to the infamous skate park.
"If it's fine with you, of course."
Jonathan nodded. "Yeah, it's fine. I just didn't think you'd want to go. It's not far from here so we can walk."
From the school parking lot, the two of them walked silently to the park. Evan and David were busy with their school project, the ever popular baby project, and Tyler was busy with his girlfriend.
It didn't take long for them to arrive at the skate park. Evanee recognized few familiar faces from school, though she didn't know any of them personally.
Throwing his backpack to the side, Jonathan took his skateboard in his hand and did what he loved best, which was kick ass at skating.
Evanee was sitting on a bench staring at him as he went down ramps and jumped off of random things. She wasn't exactly familiar with skating terms but it looked pretty interesting.
"Your Evan's girlfriend. Evanee, right?"
The raven haired girl looked to her right to see a stranger. Blonde hair, blue eyes. The teenage boy resembled more of a surfer rather than a skater.
"Yeah. And you?"
He sat down next to her, setting his skateboard against the edge of the bench.
"I'm Zach. I'm actually in your fifth period," he laughed, running a hand through his hair. "This might sound a bit cocky, but most people remember me. They're into the whole blonde hair, blue eyes thing, you know?"
"So was Hitler."
That wasn't the best response and Evanee knew that, but she had blurted it out and smiled sheepishly seeing the odd face on Zach's features.
He began laughing. "You're a funny girl, Evanee."
A sudden shadow loomed over the two and Evanee turned to see Jonathan next to them. "Zach. Long time, no see. What're you doing?"
A knowing smirk was etched onto Zach's lips as he stood up to face Jonathan. They were the same height and Evanee could see a few similarities between the two.
The blue eyes, shaggy hair, and the sharp jaw lines. If Jonathan's hair was blonde, the two could actually pass as brothers.
"I'm just introducing myself to your friend here. Is there a problem?"
"Yes."
Evanee knew from past experience that Jonathan was a violent person in certain situations and his anger was evident as he glared at Zach. There was obviously history between them but Evanee had never heard of Zach before.
"I guess you're still angry about the car thing," Zach said, rolling his eyes. "I said sorry."
The green eyed girl coughed loudly. "I'm sorry. Am I missing something?"
Jonathan balled up his fist. "Yeah. This asshole thought it would be fair to wreck my car after I beat his ass in basketball with his friends watching."
