Life was back to normal for Evanee, if most people considered watching anime and eating cup of noodles with the boy that lives across the street normal.

By now, the two of them could officially announce that they were dating, but Evanee wasn't fond of labels and neither was Evan. So, for now, they were just friends who just so happened to like each other.

David, Jonathan, and Tyler knew of their newly established 'friendship' and they didn't question it, although David was a bit suspicious of their relationship.

Other than that, life was great. Aunt Gemma had accepted Evan back reluctantly after Evanee had explained that they were somewhat dating. She made sure not to include the fact that he might have visited once or twice when Gemma didn't approve of him or that they had gone to the beach together.

"Are you going to eat that?" Evanee asked, eyeing the half finished styrofoam cup of noodles on the coffee table. Evan shook his head, picked the cup up and handed it to Evanee, too entranced in the anime to say anything.

Evanee wasn't a huge fan of talking most times as well, so she cherished the feeling of being able to enjoy a quiet evening watching anime with Evan.

The anime they were watching didn't even interest her as much, but it captured Evan's entire attention. He was so distracted that he hadn't even noticed that the green eyed girl next to him stared at him with a smile.

Relationships never interested Evanee, but just by looking at the boy next to her, she could immediately understand why people found relationships amazing.

"Ducky?" Evan asked. The green eyed girl hadn't even realized that the episode had just ended. She smiled softly at Evan. "Would Gemma mind me sleeping here tonight? My mom's leaving again and it's Friday night, so..."

Quickly running up the stairs, leaving Evan on the couch, the teenage girl barged into her aunt's room and regretted her decision the moment she walked in.

A shriek left her aunt's lips and a loud gasp escaped Drew. "The least you could do is keep your room locked," Evanee shouted, covering her eyes. She could hear Gemma's annoyed groan. "I was just going to ask if Evan could stay the night. His mom is leaving for work again."

"Yes, but no funny business."

"I would say 'same goes to you', but I can tell that its too late for that."

"Evangeline!" The raven haired shut the door and ran down the stairs, laughing. Although, she was awfully disgusted from accidentally walking in on her aunt with her boyfriend in bed, she couldn't help by find the situation humorous.

Evan was in the same spot she had left him. The only difference was that he was drifting off into sleep already, sprawled over the couch.

A single poke to his cheek was all that was needed to wake him up. "Hey," Evan yawned. "What'd Gemma say?"

"You can stay. Now come on, I don't want fall off the couch again."

Realizing what the teenage girl wanted, Evan was a bit reluctant on sleeping in the bedroom. He'd be lying if he said that he's received an invitation like this before, but those proposals were much more physical.
Right now, all Evanee wanted was to go to sleep in her own bed, which was what Evan needed to focus on.

He followed her into the large bedroom, ignoring the games it had to offer and going straight towards the bed. He was already in pajamas, a regular white t-shirt and black sweatpants, while Evanee was clad in black pajama shorts and the cat shirt he had loaned her the first few days they had met.

A smile crept up on Evan's face as hethey climbed into bed together. The teenage boy couldn't deny that this was different. He had never been in another girl's bed without it involving something sexual, but the joy he felt now was just caused by seeing Evanee next to him.

It was still a bit cold, even though they were covered by a thick, white blanket. So, Evan had put his arm over Evanee's waist, pulling her closer to him.

Evanee provided no complaints so Evan left his arm draped over her and closed his eyes. But before he fell asleep, he leaned over a bit and planted a soft kiss to her cheek.

"Goodnight, Evan," the raven haired girl said, smiling.

"Goodnight, Ducky."
