Lilly's POV
Today was the first day of dating Randy, he seemed thrilled to hear that we were dating I mean he was so happy he picked me up and span me around. "You really mean that we are together!" "Yeah I do" I responded with almost passing out then Worst out of Worst he..he..he KISSED me. Then hugged me, I was facing the school and I saw Pony look at me I felt like my life was going down instead of up. For the rest of the day I was speechless, I kinda felt bad that the thought of me and Pony had to be put aside.The next few days of school went by pretty fast Friday was the worst, I had just realized that my diary was gone I felt like I was gonna fall on the floor and roll around and start crying. I started to panic but but it has a lock, Randy started to kiss me every time we met in school which was 5 times a day. Pony would look at me then look away. Paul and I were going to the Curtis house today. Pony's POV. Today Lilly and Paul are coming over, I didn't know how to act about Lilly and Randy if she did like me it never would've shown. Before they came I told the gang that she had been dating Randy they all had something negative to say. "Ewwwww that rat" Soda said "doesn't she know how dangerous them men are?" Darry laid down " yeah I agree" Two-Bit chimed in, Steve was being extra quiet usually he had something mean to say. I took a double look at Steve "STEVE NO" I practically yelled as I 0.2 seconds after I yelled Lilly and Paul walked in and we all froze. Lilly looked at Steve and squinted her eyes for a second "wait is that my diary?" Before anyone could answer her question she went up to Steve and smacked him in the face and took her diary "what kind of animal are you?" We we're all shocked and just watched we've never seen Lilly do that before and defend herself like that. Steve was just looking at her holding his cheek where she had smacked him "why would you try to invade my personal thoughts?" She said dissatisfied now Steve is just an idiot and replied to her question with "I wanted to know" he said like he was gonna get another slap. "BECAUSE YOU WANTED TO KNOW IS NOT THE DANG REASON" she fumed and with that she smacked him on the other side of his face and ran out the door. "Lilly wait" I spoke up and tried to run out the door but Paul and Darry caught me Paul than ran to find Lilly. I felt a rage rush over me and I turned to Steve and tackled him he was distracted by the pain in his face.Darry, Two-Bit and Soda had to come pull me off Steve "PONYBOY MICHAEL CURTIS what do you think your doing" Darry screamed I broke free of Darry's grip and ran out the door "Hey" Soda yelled. I ran away to the lot where I found Johnny he didn't see what had just happened "hey" he said calmly "I hate Steve" "what's the matter?" "He tried to read Lilly's diary out loud" "really" "yeah I tackled him".
