Lilly's POV
"So how's your day been with Pony?" Paul asked me as if he were really paying attention "really good" I said picturing Pony in my mind. He's so cute I almost pass out when I think about him, "Paul you need a girl" "what, I'm happily single" he said defensively. "You are?" I said and cocked one eyebrow "yes.....no" he said sadly and put his head down and I put my arm around his shoulder. "There's always a fish in the sea for you" I tried to say sympathetically but it sounded so stupidly "I know" he said and sighed. I was in my room writing in my diary, Paul has never raided my diary or notebooks I've written in the past oh but Steve it he's attracted to that crap like a magnet, it's weird. Anyways, I was writing in my diary when the phone rang, so I answered it "hello?" "Hey Lil" "oh hey Pony" "listen meet me in an hour oh and dress up I'm doing something special bye" he said so quickly I could barely keep up "oh okay" I said after the line dropped. I scurried to my closet and looked and found a really pretty light blue floral printed dress with short sleeves. And to match I wore some light blue flats and put on some makeup.
Pony's POV
I was so ready I wore a nice patterned shirt with a leather jacket I borrowed from Two-Bit and wore a nice pair of jeans with some nice shoes for a change. "Hey, you almost ready?" Steve hollered at me "yeah" I yelled back, they all stared at me as I came walking into the living room Two-Bit cat called me. My hair was gel-ed differently than how I usually gel it so I looked really different. "Wow you look so different" Soda mentioned as they all stared at me " you guys are the best I couldn't be doing this without you guys" "your welcome" Darry said looking proud. "Don't make this a big deal" Steve said, I looked at the time it was 5:39 and the sunsets at 6:54 so I had to hurry. "HEY YOUR GONNA BE LATE!!" Darry screamed and the rest of the gang joined in on all the yelling "Don't mess it up you fiend" as Dally granted my his words of wisdom. "Good luck" Johnny yelled "DON'T RUIN MY JACKET" Two-Bit yelled at me then cursed "go get her hound dog" Steve yelled then did his traditional dog teeth holler, the weird thing he does for some reason.
Lilly's POV
I walked down the stairs and mom and Paul were watching me, Paul looked shocked and amazed "oooohhh honey, you look beautiful" mom said as she pulled me into a hug. I also carried a small white purse "wow that's my sist- kid sister wow" Paul said and smiled at me "why thank you" I said and did curtsy. "Your father would be so happy to see you both right now, he'd see you loving each other so well. Your uncle always fought with him and your aunt" mom said *ding *dong. "I bet that's Pony" I said as mom and Paul went into the living room, I opened the door Pony nearly fainted "wow you look like an angel" "oh thanks." "You look great yourself" "shall we" Pony said as he put his arm in a loop so I could put my arm through the loop so it would make a chain. I felt so safe and happy "today is just full of surprises" I said looking at the sky ahead of us, Pony stopped and looked at me "what's wrong?" "Nothing..nothing at all" "where you talking me?" I said all quirky and cute "it's a surprise" "oh okay." We walked down a long narrow dirt road, we came close to the end "close your eyes" "okay there closed" he steered me, I trusted him. "Open" "oh my- Pony,this is beautiful" he showed me a field of wild sunflowers and the horizon with the sun setting "oh and one more surprise, follow me" he lead me to a giant tree that was off to the side of the field. The tree had a tire swing and there was a quilt lied down with a basket filled with food. "Ponyboy....wow" we sat down "Lilly I've been needing to say this... Lillian Renee Brown, will you be my girlfriend?" Oh my cod he just asked me to be his girlfriend I had about 6 million butterflies in my stomach. "Ponyboy Michael Curtis, yes of course I will" I stood up and hugged him and lifted my leg. We ate and watched the sunset he told me this poem by Robert Frost called Natures First Green Is Gold. We also played on the tire swing. A few minutes later I heard a car come down the road and I got really nervous.... It was just Dally?" "Here's our ride" Pony said as he opened the door for me "oh uh okay" I said sliding in. The car wasn't Dally's usual car, it looked like it though the paint job was different, I didn't know where we were going next. I thought I was going home, it turns out Two-Bit came with Dally, I was so confused. On our way to where we were going Dally and Two-Bit were making small talk about flowers??? I was getting so confused, I'm surprised Dally could withstand Two-Bit talking to him usually he would've belted Two-Bit, guess not today. We finally showed up to the DRIVE-IN YAYYYY Pony must've planned this all along, Dally pulled in and parked him and Two-Bit left me with Pony. I was so happy I was hoping Dally and Two-Bit weren't coming back to sit with us "surprise Lil, a drive in just for us" "awwww thanks so much Pony." Pony shifted into the drivers seat and I shifted to the passenger seat, the seats were connected like a bench. He slid a little closer to me *yawn* he then put his arm around me, I slid closer to him and I looked at him for a second then he looked back at me for a second. Then he leaned in closer..I was really nervous...what happened next was amazing...he..he..KISSED ME <3 I kissed him back, I love him so much, FINALLY MY DREAMS ARE COMING TRUE!!!! We cuddled he must've noticed that I was cold so he took off his leather jacket and gave it to me. I looked at him, smiled and rested my head on his shoulder and I dozed off to sleep.
Pony's POV
I was so happy, I had the girl of my dreams... I love her soo much, she fell asleep Two-Bit and Dally were sitting near by. I made contact with Dally gave him a little wave and he came over and looked at Lilly. I gently pushed her up to lean on the passenger side near the window, I got out of the car and Dally sat down in the drivers seat and stared the car and Two-Bit and I sat in the back. "Nice job Pony" Two-Bit softly cheering "yeah congrats Kid" Dally said as we pulled onto the road, we got home it was really late so I thought Lilly could just stay at my house. So I carried her in the house bridal style and set her on the couch, Darry had been reading the newspaper he looked surprised "she's gonna stay here?" "I figured she'd stay with us" "okay" before I went to bed I kissed her on the forehead and gave her a blanket. "Good night kid" "good night Darry."
