Lilly's POV
Today was my birthday!!!! I was so excited "good morning, birthday girl" mom said and kissed me on my forehead as I came into the kitchen "morning mom." Paul came up behind me and shook me "HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIDDO!!" I jumped "thanks Paul" "ayy you know the rules 15 spankings" he picked me up and monkeyed around. "PANCAKES!?" I yelled "yep, chocolate just the way you like em'" "Thanks mom!" Today I wore 1 of my favorite dresses mom designed, Pony knocked on my bedroom door. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEAUTIFUL" he said as he pulled bouquet of roses out from behind his back. "My favorite...awww thanks so much" I kissed him on the cheek "you didn't have too" "of course I did" and with that we walked to school holding hands. As soon as we got to school, Cherry and Johnny came running up to us, and yelled "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" I'm sure the whole school heard by now that it was my birthday. "Awww thanks guys" they bewstowed a book before me, the book had pictures and quotes it was a scrapbook "wow guys, I love it soo much." The bell rang, I was in science dozing off when the teacher Mr.Wilcox announced it was my birthday. I don't get why people care so much about my birthday, I'm getting way too much attention. It was lunch I was starving, Pony gave me a kiss on the cheek when no one was looking "I'll say this once and I'll say it again, happy birthday princess" "thank you baby Pony." "Woah woah woah, break it up" Cherry said gagging, we all sat together with Johnny. We were talking when Pony kept checking his watch " hey are you okay?" I sounded concerned, he hesitated before answering "I'm perfect baby" I heard someone clear their throat. I knew that throat clear way too well it was PAUL!!! "What are you doing here?" "Come here and I'll show you" I was so confused. "Close your eyes" we we're standing in the middle of the room for everyone to see I was a bit confused.... "OPEN" I opened my eyes to nothing infront of my vision "turn around" I turned around and my heart stopped. My dad...I ran up to up to him, "dad" I said sobbing "Lilly monster" I forgot the whole school was watching. "I missed you so much" I pulled my head out of his shoulder to look at him, he was smirking. "Lil bug, I missed you too and Paul." Dad stood up with me still clinging on mom and Paul came and gave dad a hug in a flash. "This is the best day of my life" I got to leave school early with Ponyboy and Johnny. We went over to the Curtis house, I went inside and saw no one "hello?" "SURPRISE!!!!" The rest of the gang yelled, I jumped. Two-Bit came over and put a party hat on my head Pony instead took off the hat and put a tiara on. "Oh my gosh it's so pretty thank you" "happy birthday babe" he said then kissed me on the cheek. Dad gave me a funny look like he was surprised but happy, "happy birthday" "JEFF!!!" Jeff was 1 of my dads really close friends, Paul and I were close with him too. Paul was closer, he came and shook Paul's hand and greeted dad then he came gave me a hug. We all had some cake Darry and Soda made it was really good, dad and Darry chatted for a while. Mr Curtis and dad had been best friends since they were little. For gifts Dally of course got me a switchblade, Steve and soda gave me a really cool license plate. Pony gave me a ring it was so beautiful it sparkled in the light, Darry got me an interesting book. Two-Bit gave me 1 of his leather jackets he knew how much I love them. Last but not least Johnny gave me a photo of all 9 of us, I loved it so much "thank you all so much this is the best day ever" my throat started throbbing like a good sized golf ball was in there. I said my goodbyes thank you's.
