Lilly's POV
Paul and I were making a very special and nice dinner for Darry, Ponyboy, and Sodapop. Paul and I invited them because they liked my mom and it gave them something to do. While Paul was setting the table I went upstairs and put on my dark green dress to look nice. The dress stopped at my knees, everyone picks on me because of my height I just don't know why. I wore a very special necklace my dad had given me, the necklace was a heart with my dad's name carved in the heart. I wore some makeup not too visible as I stared in my closet I saw the green shirt I wore with my skirt and thought Pony would like it....he didn't I could tell by the look on his face. I loved when Pony wore flannels they looked so hot on him, he looked like an angel. Pony had asked me if I had plans this weekend....which means he must like me. Randy better leave me alone or I will just have to strike a pose at his face, why won't he leave me alone? I was pondering that question when *ding dong* the doorbell rang and mom answered it.
Mom's quick POV
"Oh hi" "Lilly invited us" Sodapop said "that's why there's so much food" I thought. "It's a welcome home feast Mom" Paul said as he came up behind me and shook hands with Darry. "Awwwww thank you so much, I must have the best kids." Paul and Lilly are the best Paul and Lilly I know.

Lilly's POV
I could tell Pony, Darry, and Soda were still at the front door, I figured now or never so I walked down the stairs like a queen or princess like in the movies. (The stairs are right infront of the front door) Pony took 1 look at me then looked away then back at me and said "wow" like I put him under some spell. "Well hello Mr. Ponyboy Curtis, I said as I came towards him he didn't say anything for a second he was still in sight shock. Then he blurted out "you look stunning" by now it was just Pony and me at the front door.
Pony's POV
Wow, Lilly looked like an angel, so beautiful. I was wearing a leather jacket Two-Bit lended me, under the jacket I wore a dressy nice top and some nice jeans. I felt on top of the world... that confident. We all sat down, Lilly looked hungry, and man there sure was a ton of food turkey,mashed potatoes,homemade Mac and cheese, and some vegetables. I was about to dig in... the doorbell rang "I'll get it" Lilly called as she jumped up from her seat like a spring. She opened the door "oh it's you, what do you want now!" She yelled "would you like to come to the drive in with me?" I heard a voice say "NO I DON'T, yeah and you what else I want, you to leave me alone" Lilly yelled and took a pause from yelling "I'm in the middle of something if you can't tell." "Yeah I know, the Curtis brothers are here" it came to me it was Randy, he was here for his annual visit I thought sarcastically. "WHAT THE H***, HOW WOULD KNOW?" I was a little nervous about what was coming next "are...are you spying on me??" "No.. Lilly it's not like that" he informed her "oh yeah sure it is." All of us at the table we're trying to lean to see what was happening......therefore, she smacked him so hard he nearly fell over "Randy Anderson I hate you" she said with so much agony she almost popped. "STAY THE HE** AWAY FROM ME AND MY FAMILY" then she slammed the door so hard, the house shook and ran upstairs. "I'll be right back" Mrs.Brown said, I looked at everyone they were so quiet Paul broke the silence "Dam* Randy, don't know what's good for him." I should've just stayed quiet, "yeah I agree." After 5 minutes Lilly came down the stairs, she never said another word. She just sat and ate her food quietly Soda mentioned the car him and Steve were working on, to make conversation. After Darry, Soda and I were done eating we chatted for awhile. "Bye Lilly" "Bye Ponyboy" she said like a little mouse I was shocked,she hugged me. Darry shook hands with Paul and said goodbye to Mrs. Brown for having us, and we left. "Wow" Soda prompted as soon as the door behind us shut "she's tough" Darry said truthfully.
