Lilly's POV
I listened to Dally's advice, I need to make up with Ponyboy. This Sunday felt real weird..just different I didn't feel myself. I know why. I was sitting on the couch reading the book Darry had given me for my birthday. The phone rang. Paul looked at me. "I'll get it." I pulled myself off the comfy couch. "Hello?" In the distance inside the phone I could hear a very slight and soft voice. "Can we talk?" I knew exactly who it was. "What's up Johnnycakes?" "We should meet in person." "Oh okay." My heart started to beat so loud and fast, I was so afraid something devastating was happening. "Meet me at the lot." "Okay." I hung up the phone and Paul stared at me for answers. "I have to go meet Johnny at the lot." I threw my converse on and I was out the door. I was gone so quick Paul couldn't ask me why I was going. I got to the lot , Johnny was sitting on the bumper of an old car. "Uhh hi I'm here." "Lilly.....there's not such girl as Kassie Dunlop." Johnny said without even making eye contact with me. "WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?" I was so confused and lost. "Sit down and I'll tell you." He told me that it was all Bob who did this. As soon as I could get my head straight I stood up and kicked the old car right in the headlight. I was so PIS*ED I was going to attack Bob with a baseball bat. I plopped down on the bumper and really realized the real culprit of this burden. I was so upset...Tears flooded from my eyes, I covered my face with my hands and faced away from Johnny. I didn't want him seeing my tears, like he had before. I didn't want him thinking I was weak. "Lilly..what's wrong?" "It's me....." "What are you-." "I'm the problem..." "Lilly what are you talking about?" Johnny tried to steer me so I would face him. "Lilly.." It went silent for a couple of seconds. "Lilly.. you are the most amazing girl I have ever met, your so kind and funny. When I'm down all I have to do is look for you....." The silence came back for a few seconds. "You can even stand up for yourself no matter the cost, you are so powerful you can do anything." There was yet another long pause. I was trying to process what Johnny had just said. Johnny stood up and tried to find my face again. He finally went on "Lilly.....I..I love you." I put head up and was in total shock. He bent down into my face and he put his hands on my cheeks and he...KISSED ME!!! I was in double shock, I just let all of this happen. When Johnny ever so slightly pulled away from ma and went to go sit back down, he noticed DARRY watching us. I turned around and my eyes widened when I saw Darry. I didn't know how to feel about this, I wanted to get up and run away. "Wow-." "Darry, it's not what it looks like.. Johnny and I were just-." I was struggling with what to say. "Reciting a sene from a movie." Johnny helped me finish my sentence. "Sure" Darry smirked and started laughing. "Please don't tell anyone." Johnny pleaded. Right before Darry left I stopped him. Johnny was already gone. "How much did you hear?" "Well, if I'm being honest...I heard it all" I started a mental breakdown. I covered my face with my hands again. I..couldn't..do..this.
Darry's POV
"Hey are you okay?" Lilly appeared to be crying
I was real concerned for her. She didn't answer my question! She wiped her eyes and left without another word. "Lilly, come back!!" I shouted to her as she walked farther and farther out of sight. I heard from a little birdie that Bob had tormented the relationship of Ponyboy and Lilly. Johnny told me all about the threat that was thrown apon him and the deal that was made!
