Lilly's POV...
I woke up with tons of aches and pains. I sat up straight. "Oh thank god your okay!!" Ponyboy ran over to me and hugged me. "How long have I been out for?" Darry looked at me, "an hour or so." "Oh.." Paul came into the room and almost exploded when he saw me, he rushed over to me and sat down next to me. "It's all my fault...I shouldn't of let you fight.." "What are you talking about? I'm perfectly fine!" He gave me a look that read "really?" "Okay..well maybe not perfect condition but at least I'm fine!" "DARRY!!!Are you okay?!" I watched Ponyboy fall into a dark shade of worry. "Here let me see." I grabbed Darry's finger to look at it..there were 2 deep holes. "WHAT HAPPENED?" "Someone bit me.." "JEEZ!" I grabbed some peroxide and poured it on a cotton ball. "Okay..now this is gonna hurt-." "Really badly!" He finished my sentence for me. "Ready?" "Yup!" I laid the cotton ball on his finger and he didn't make a face he didn't wince in pain. Nothing!! No reaction. "Wow! Nice job!" I then took the cotton ball of his finger and I grabbed some gauze and wrapped his finger. "Thanks Lilly!" "No problem!" I looked over at Two-Bit who was staring at me wincing in pain. "Let me see." I came over to Two-Bit..he was badly bruised with his lips cut and a bloody nose. "Oh my." I wiped off his lips and I put healing gel on them his face was swelled so I put some ice on him. "Anyone else?" The rest of the gang lined up to get their care from me. Sodapop was next, he had a black eye and some cuts as well as some swelling I cleaned his cuts and and covered them up. Steve had a bloody nose in both nostrils and he had a black eye I healed him up and he thanked me. Ponyboy looked awful..he really got banged up! So I fixed him up and cleaned all his wounds and wrapped him up. He laid his head on my lap so he was upside down when I finished him up I leaned down and kissed him. Johnny wasn't there and I don't know where Cherry was. Dally was barely hurt all he had were a couple of scrapes and cuts. "As far as I know you guys did a hella good job!" "I think you did amazing!!.." Steve blurted. "Oh..thanks.." I finished Dally and I sat down on the couch. "Thanks doll!" "No problem." I sat there thinking for a second. "Hey..Lilly?.." "Yes Steve?" "Well..ya know when I took diary?" I chuckled a little bit "Oh yeah I do remember that." "Well I'm real sorry about that..." Steve looked about filled to the brim with shame. "It's okay....I'm sorry I slapped you.." "Nah you had every right to!" I felt like I forgot something.."OH SHIT!!" They all looked at me in surprise of my use of profanity. "We've gotta get the hell home!!" I got up and was about to run to the door when Sodapop stopped me, "It's 3 AM.." "Oh..yeah I forgot!" I sat back down easing my adrenaline. I yawned and my eyes felt heavy..I fell asleep and didn't know it. I woke up to the motion of someone carrying me. It was Ponyboy, he set me down on his bed and covered me with some blankets.
Ponyboy's POV
I carried Lilly to my bed and set her down, she was motionless and she sat quiet. I laid down next to her admiring her beautiful tight ringlets, I wove my finger in between in between them. I fell asleep with my arm around her.
Lilly's POV
I woke up facing Ponyboy..He sleeps so peacefully and charming although he did look rough from last night. That's right!! I never knew who won last night..I wish I knew! Ponyboy woke up and caught me studying his gorgeous facial features. "Hi." He whispered to me, "hi" I whispered back. He smiled and I smiled back. We got out of bed and went into the living room where we found everyone including Johnny. I went and sat down on the couch, Darry was reading the newspaper. "Did you sleep good?" "Oh uh yeah." "I walked by Ponyboy's room and couldn't help but to peer in on you 2 to find your arm on top of his face." "Yep that's how I sleep! Oh and..who won last night?" He looked at me above his newspaper. "We..did..!" "YESSSSS!!" I actually got up and jumped up and down. "How's the cake coming?!" Darry yelled to Steve and Two-Bit in the kitchen. "Uhhhhhh good!" "I damn right hope so!" "Ummm...where's Paul?" "He went home." "When?" "A little while ago." "Oh okay." I walked into the kitchen to say goodbye to Ponyboy when I found Steve and Two-Bit covered in chocolate. I sighed. "Hey Pony, I've gotta go!" "Oh okay." "Listen I really enjoyed last night..when we beat up all those socs!" "Oh yeah that was fun!" I gave him and kiss. "Do you really have to go?" Two-Bit and Steve questioned. "Uhhh do you not see this?" I pointed to myself, "honey, I be lookin' like some greasy fries." "Nah I don't really see it!" Steve and Two-Bit both took their turns rubbing their GREASY hair on my hair. "That's more like it!" "That's not what I meant!" I laughed, "I meant my face!" I took my finger and rubbed it down the side of my nose collecting the oil. "See?" I showed them my finger. "Okay I've gotta go..BEFORE ANYONE SEES ME!!!" "Why?" Steve asked again. "Why you always gotta ask questions?" "But why?" "Didn't we just go over this? My hair is a wreck, my face is greasy, my clothes are ripped, I'm wearing old makeup, and I'm not HOME!" They looked at me like I had 12 heads. "Look at the time..I have to get going." I walked out the front door, "thanks, bye!" "Bye Lilly!" They yelled back. I was not excited to get home. I got home and my parents came running to me, my mother gasped and and almost fainted! "Lilian Brown.....honey are you okay?!" "Don't worry I'm fine!" My mother sighed with relief but still full with worry, "Honey...did you win?" "We did!" "Ohhhh that's amazing!!" My dad shook me by the hand almost picking me up off the ground. "Paul told us everything...I am so damn proud to have two kids who actually defend themselves and others!" Paul came out of the kitchen smiling. "Ohh come here you!" My mom pulled us to her and we all had a big family group hug. Life seemed normal when I went back to school. Although some people really asked me if I knocked out Bob..and I did. Bob on the other hand, ended up in jail for abuse to Cherry. Bob had lost his reputation and his mandra he now had an orange jumpsuit instead! When everyone saw his picture in the paper they cut him out and threw him in the trash...NOT THE RECYCLING BIN!!! It only got amazingly better for Ponyboy and I! We started doing more things together..It was a warm day in April, Ponyboy and I hung out at the movie house and watched the sunset..He told me a poem "Nature's first green is gold, her hardest hue to hold, her early leafs a flower but only so an hour, so then leaf subsides to leaf, so eden sank to grief, so dawn goes down to day... nothing gold can stay." "It's a poem by Robert Frost." He informed me, "what's it about?" "I'm not sure.." We focused on the sunset... "Stay Gold Lilly..Stay Gold.." I looked at him and he smiled at me, "I love you Price Pony.." "I love you more..Lilly flower.." We smiled at each other then he kissed me..
