I head to the White House to get the Birkin which I left wrapped when I left. Eden and I were in such a rush to leave that I had forgotten it.
"Where have you been?" my mother asks from the dark living room as I walk past.
"You scared me," I jump, "I've been staying at my house with Eden," I explain.
"Does that mean you two are back together?" she furrows her brows.
"I suppose," I take a seat next to her, cradling the vase in my arms.
"Those are some nice flowers," she comments
"Eden sent them to the office, as an I miss you. He's on his way to Italy now, he's taking care of some business."
"What happened to moving to Italy?"
"He's requested a transfer to the DC office but he'll still need to go back a couple of times for meetings,"
"Good, I was surprised to see him,"
"We ran into each other at Hermes. He said he'd come back to see me actually,"
"I hear his fathers thinking of running for prime minister again," She lifts the teacup to her mouth.
"He hasn't mentioned anything about it," I say reaching for a macaron from the coffee table.
"I just want to make sure he's back for you and not... anything else," She holds my cheek as I take a bite of the blueberry treat.
"Thanks, mom, I'll stay alert," I kiss her on the cheek, "do you want to open my Birkin with me?" I run to the room where I stashed it.
"YOUR WHAT?" She almost spits out her tea.
"You better have used your father's card for that Y/N," She scorns when I return with the orange shopping bag.
"I love it so much" I squeal when I unboxed the mint green purse. I instantly begin transferring all of the things from my old purse into it.
"Will you be joining us for dinner?" She asks as she observes my excitement.
"No, I have a friend coming over tonight, I just stopped by to get this."
"Hmm okay, well I'll walk you out, I have to get back. My meeting with Senator Romanoff starts in about 20 minutes, I assume that's why she let you out early?"
"Yeah, she was preparing for it when I left," I lie, trying not to think of what actually happened.
A/N- Short chapter I know but the next one we get some drama we get shmexy time, OH MY GOD ITS HAPPENING EVERYBODY STAY CALM.
