A/N: I have like 20 chapters pre-written already so all parts are up today (Maybe)!! I love writing this story 😁

"This is meeting attire?" Natasha questions, squinting her eyes at the sweatsuit I changed into.

"It's very casual, either way, my name is impressive enough I don't need to wear fancy clothes" I joke as I gather everything in my purse, I remember to put the checkbook in.

"Must be Sydney, I'll get it." I walk to the knock at the door and open it. Luckily she was also dressed casually in jeans and a loose crewneck.

"You ready?" She says in a shaky voice.

"Yeah, come in. Wanda will be here soon."

She walks all the way in and spots Natasha, "What are you doing here?" She says nervously.

"On a field trip," Natasha jokes.

"She took the day off, I feel bad for leaving you." I walk toward her.

"I know how important this is. Don't worry," Natasha says cupping my face.

Sydney sits and talks to Natasha while we wait. She fidgeted and her anxiety was clearly present, her eyes glanced over at me once in a while, she bounced her leg, and she didn't make any dirty jokes when Nat leaned over to kiss me, something extremely out of character for her.

"I got it" I jump up again to get the door.

She wore her light auburn hair down and was nicely dressed in tall black heels. Her green eyes looked me in the eye even though I didn't look back. I turn to walk towards the group without saying a word.

"I spoke to the doctor he'll see you ask a couple questions about-"

I slap my hand over her mouth and push her against the wall of the hallway where we're out of sight. At the same time, I hear glass breaking.

"Shut up, Natasha is here," I whisper.

It's muted by Sydney's loud apologies and shuffling.

Wanda grabs my hand, pushes it off her mouth, and smirks at me.

I continue walking towards Sydney and Natasha where I see broken glass all over the floor, Natashas white shirt is now sheer from wetness.

"What happened?"

"I dropped my glass on her, I didn't mean to, I'm sorry," Sydney says apologetically.

"No don't worry, it's a tradition to spill drinks on me." Natasha smiles at me. "Hello, again Miss Maximoff."

"Senator," Wanda looks down at her shirt, Natasha's white bra on display.

"I'll go change." Natasha heads towards my room and closes the door.

"That was a Tiffany glass," I whine quietly.

"I wouldn't have had to throw it if you would've been smart enough to tell her she was here" She whispers back picking up the shards.

"Stop touching that I'll get someone to pick it up," I say at a normal volume. I ask one of the agents if they can find someone but one of them offers to do it.

We all thank him while he sweeps it up.

Natasha comes out wearing a black tee now.

"Sorry, again Natasha I don't know what happened," Sydney says.

"Don't worry, Good luck with the meeting," she waves us all goodbye

Wanda gives the address to the driver. My heart beats faster as the car starts. I stare out the window, breathing becomes difficult. I feel someone touch my thigh and I flinch.

"Don't worry, It'll be like it never happened by tomorrow," Wanda says, she begins to lift her hand but I catch it before she does, I intertwine my fingers with hers and look back out the window without letting go of her hand.

--------

"Are you feeling okay?" Sydney says from the foot of the bed.

"Perfect," I felt happier, but thoughts of my lie to Natasha plague me.

Wanda walks in and smiles. "30 more minutes and we are out of here," She says.

"I think I saw a soda machine out there, want anything?" Sydney asks me, I shake my head no, "Wanda?" She does the same. "Be right back?"

I sit up, Wanda stares at me. I point my finger to my purse and she hands it to me. I reach in for the Checkbook and a pen.

She scoffs, "Put that away, I don't want your money."

"I have to pay you in some way, Wanda,"

"You can repay me with a conversation," she smiles, "Over dinner" she adds.

I think about it for a while, "Fine."

Sydney walks back in with water in hand. I don't know how the conversation began but we discussed our favorite music artist.

"Oh well that makes a lot of sense," Wanda laughs.

"I get it now," Sydney says in agreement.

"What's wrong with liking Lana Del Rey?" I say a little offended.

"Oh nothing, How are the mommy issues by the way?" Sydney says. Wanda burst into laughter.

I run my tongue over my teeth and get up to change out of the hospital gown.

"Oh come on, you don't call Romanoff mommy?" Wanda teases.

I pull the sweats on and look off to the side out of an open window with a guilty smile on my face.

"You do! That's some kinky shit." Sydney Screams.

"One time! I called her that once, Okay" I admit turning around to put on my shirt.

They break out in laughter. I rolled my eyes.

"You're free to go," the doctor tells us.

"We're having dinner Syd, join us?" I ask.

"I told Theo I'd help him with his new Lego set. Maybe some other time." She's escorted to a black Escalade and gives us a final wave before driving off.

"I have to call Natasha," I say opening my phone and taking a few steps away.

......

"I'm going to have a bite to eat, do I bring you back something?"

.........

"I know this was supposed to be our day, I'm sorry."

.....

"I'll see you back home"

......

I put the phone away and turn to Wanda.

"Was that mommy?" She teases.

"It was," I smile.
