---------------------

I reach over the couch to the whiskey set on the wooden tables nearby. Since Sydney pointed out my bad habit I'd replaced all liquor with water or apple juice, except for the wine, that didn't count.

"No Natalia I will not give you my notes for this meeting you'll have to go into it blind," I answer her phone call.

"I was actually calling to give you notes, I won't go easy on you just because you're my girlfriend,"

"Oh Natalia, you underestimate my ability to persuade. I don't need your notes but I do need your confirmation. I'm meeting with Miss Robinson today from the girl's orphanage and I forgot to take notes, she has 5 girls right?"

"Yes. busy day?"

"You have no idea, I have so many meetings and I have to apologize to a 12-year old for not showing up to career day, she hasn't talked to me in weeks," I say getting more and more frustrated with my schedule.

"I'll come by earlier and help you relax, does that sound okay baby?" She coos over the phone.

"I'll go home with you and help you cool down from the loss you'll have today, Love you, see you later," I hang up.

----------------------

I wave goodbye to Miss Robinson and wait until the doors close to throw myself into a chair and silently celebrate a successful start to the day. A lot of the kids were already there as they were on break from school.

"Busy morning Miss Phoenix?" One of the kids asks me, They were older, in high school maybe.

"Busy ass day," I groan as I get up again, " have you seen Fallon? I've seen you guys talking a couple of times."

"Yeah, she's been staying downstairs," They respond, I thank them and go downstairs to search for her.

Laurie was showing the kids a survival tactics video for our upcoming camping trip, I usually never joined but since it was my idea the staff insisted I go. I sit down in the empty chair next to her and she instantly gets up to throw away her trash and sits at another seat on her way back. I move next to her again.

"Fallon, sweetheart, I'm sorry," I whisper to her, "I had to go to Scotland for a wedding, but I should've told you I couldn't make it."

"Ya think," She crosses her arms.

"Would you forgive me if I let you choose who you wanted in your cabin?" I try to bribe her.

"I want to meet Sydney Harris," She whispers back her offer.

"Sydney? Why?" I ask curiously, She turns her face away from me and I could see red rising from her cheeks. "Oh my god you have a crush on Sydney," I whisper scream.

"Shut up, no I don't I just... admire her work in the legal field," She says looking away once again.

"Well, you're in luck because she will be joining us on our trip, with her son and girlfriend,"

"Ah yes your ex," She says jokingly.

"Watch it, I will tell Sydney about the time you peed your pants at the horse stables," I warn.

"You better not," She leans in to whisper. I get up and adjust my blazer.

"Get the list to me before you leave," I say to her and leave trying not to disturb the others.

"We have little sandwiches if you want any, Is it just you?" I ask Natasha as she walks into the conference room.
