He's the one or not...

Eden had called Sydney the morning after and she came as quick as she could. I wasn't able to tell her what happened, not because I didn't want to but because I couldn't. I didn't want to get out of bed, I didn't want to be seen in public. I just wanted to sleep the day away and ignore the changing world around me.

Even though I assured Sydney I would be alright she insisted on visiting me every day. I looked forward to her visits though, just her being there made me feel better. She had skipped a day of visit, however, because of a busy day. I didn't have anyone to force me out of bed and Eden gladly stayed wrapped up in the sheets with me, even though I didn't want him to but I didn't bother telling him that.

"Y/N, you awake?" Sydney asks walking into the darkroom. I don't respond audibly but I shuffle to let her know I was. She climbs under the sheets with me and kisses my temple, "Get up let's get you in the bathtub, you're starting to smell,"

I groan as she lifts me by the arms and starts to undress me.

"I went to see her," I confess in a whisper glancing at the door to make sure Eden wasn't there.

She leads me to the bathroom, the tub was already filled with warm water and flower-scented bubbles.

"I know," she says, sitting on the floor next to me.

"You know?" I ask confused, I hadn't told her about Natasha.

"Her car was here that night, a black corvette? I've seen it parked in her spot at the capitol," She smiles.

"I tried to talk to her but- I mean-" I struggle to explain it, "It felt like when I was with Wanda, It didn't matter who I was because she wanted me for me and I wanted her just the same," was the best way I could explain it.

"I thought you said we couldn't mention her name anymore after-"

"and you still cant, I only mentioned it to show you how serious this feeling is," I interrupt. She smiles understandingly. I told her everything from our first interaction to our last, she listened attentively and I appreciated her not pushing any advice.

Once I had relaxed enough in the bath and rinsed off, I dried myself off and changed into a soft pair of Sweatpants and a tank top.

Fast clumsy running steps echo in the hall and a small hand opens the door.

"Mommy, Uncle Eden taught me how to do a card trick," Theo says excitedly.

I smile at his calling her mommy.

He doesn't do the trick well and drops a couple of cards in the process but we act impressed anyway clapping and cheering when he was done.

Eden invited us out for dinner but Sydney couldn't join us because she was meeting with Devin Hawthorne, Theo's biological dad. She had told me plenty about him the night we stayed up waiting for the paper, I had known him only by name since we went to the same high school. He was 'the popular guy' and jock if I remembered correctly.

We insisted on taking Theo with us to dinner and I made her promise to call if anything went wrong.

"Pick me up," Theo raises his arms at Eden while we wait for our private dining room to be ready. He complies with his request and whispers something in his ear, they both turn to look at me mischievously.

"What?" I furrow my brows, being cautious of them.

Eden pulls me close to him by the waist and they both start attacking my face with kisses. I laugh as their lips tickle my face.
