"So he can cover himself in electricity but not control it right?" Shoto asked, talking to Midoriya in casual conversation about their classmates quirks. Denki was looking very promising.
"Yeah, though the short-circuiting can't be very fun." He noted with a frown, Shoto recognized the expression as him thinking intently.
"Neither can breaking your bones every time you use your quirk." Shoto said, testing to see how the green one would respond.
Midoriya's face flushed, embarrassed, "No," he laughed nervously," it's not but I'm working on it." He said with a definite nod. So he was determined, Shoto guessed that could prove problematic, he wasn't a threat now but he could be if he got more powerful.
Midoriya had wanted to sit with him at lunch and Shoto let him for a few minutes, he listened to what he had learned about the other students. Took mental notes that he would write down later. It was good information, things that would help his mission progress.
They had gone over Kirishima, Mina, Sero, Ida, and Mineta. Hard no on the last one.
Things were going well though, Shoto was already able to cross out half of the class.
But he was only half listening to Midoriya, the other half of his focus was trying to find the explosive blonde from earlier. He wasn't hard once he just listened for the yelling and find his scent.
And once he found its source he decided it was time he started playing his game. Finally he might be able to act more like himself.
Being a different type of person that would get Katsukis guard down. Get him to open up to Shoto- tell him how he really felt.
"I gotta go." Shoto said, standing up from his seat. Midoriya silenced and tilted his head in question but he didnt argue. He was too nice. Shoto would have ignored him either way and walked over to where Katsuki was now sitting alone. Anyone that had talked to him were clearly scared off.
Shoto slid into the seat across from him, propping his foot on the seat. "Hi there Kacchan." he smiled, leaning his elbow on his knee and then his head on his hand.
"The fuck did you just call me?" Katsuki spat, choking on his water and narrowing his eyes at Shoto.
"What? The green haired one calls you that." Shoto said casually, looking down at Katsuki's food. He wasn't interested in it, but he knew it would piss the guy off in front of him. People like him always like to be looked in the eye, not brushed aside.
"Shitty Deku- you don't call me that." Katsuki said, picking up his water again. Shoto took it from his hand easily and sipped out of it. He already felt so much more like himself. So much freer. So much more... mean.
"Fine then, Katsuki." Shoto laughed as Katsuki stole his water back, staring at Shoto as if he was insane. He looked into the cup and then set it down on the table.
"You don't get to call me that either Icyhot." Katsuki hissed, but he didn't leave. He was intrigued by this guy. There was something odd and yet infuriating about him. No one had challenged him like this before. Every else usually just ran scared.
"Aw I get a nickname, that's sweet." Shoto cooed before meeting Katsuki's eyes. "Fine then, blasty boy it is." Shoto said, giving Katsuki a charming smile. He knew his smile always feigned innocence, he hoped Katsuki wasn't that dense to not see it was predatory.
