Shoto knocked on the door, not out of formality (he was allowed in whenever) but out of a want. He liked watching Katsuki's face when he showed up. Three weeks and that small smile that Katsuki always tried, and failed, to hide, made the long walk worth it.

And though Shoto was far from tired, getting up so early was new to him. But he wanted as much alone time with Katsuki as possible so that too, was worth it.

He knew Katsuki would be downstairs to open the door for him in less than fifteen seconds- it was five-fifteen in the morning and they'd leave for a run at five-thirty.

Three weeks prior, Katsuki had been expecting him at seven but Shoto figured some extra running couldn't hurt. So he showed up at five, simultaneously surprising Katsuki as well as earning a mini lecture about showing up without telling him.

Shoto should have known he was a planner. And he did, but it was cute to see him get all flustered when Shoto was spontaneous. Not that he'd ever call Katsuki cute- that too ended in the result of a lecture.

This time being how Katsuki isn't cute but rather 'attractive' or 'handsome'. Shoto listened either way, and he knew he's still call him cute no matter what. Because he was. His cheeks turned red every time he was nervous and his eyes squinted so beautifully when he laughed.

Shoto thought that Katsuki was the most beautiful person he'd ever seen before. There was nothing he wouldn't do to protect that smile. And if that meant leaving the league then fine. He was going to leave the league.

He wasn't sure how and he hadn't even told Touya that he made up his mind but he knew what he wanted. Katsuki meant too much to him to put him in harms way anymore.

So maybe he'd fail the mission and the rest of the league would be his enemy, if it meant Katsuki being safe then he would pay the price.

The only question he had left was how.

It seemed impossible and he knew it wouldn't happen anytime soon. Hell, he and Katsuki had only been together for just nearly three months. It seemed impossible that he would be so willing to give it up everything he worked for just to keep Katsuki safe.

But he could take down the hero system anywhere. There were other villains all over the world and Shoto knew he'd still be able to change things without the league.

He was powerful enough in his own right. And if Touya went with him like he promised, then they couldn't possibly loose.

And if Katsuki joined them well, it might as well be over for everyone else. They would be unstoppable. The thought, itself, almost had him considering staying with the league. He could only imagine the destruction they could cause in the league as a pair.

But then, they could do that anywhere else.

Shoto bit at the inside of his lip and closed his eyes for a second- he could almost taste it. Their future- it tasted like chocolate.

He opened his eyes as the Katsuki pulled open the door.

"Hey." The blonde said easily, immediately going back to the kitchen where he was preparing his water.

"Good morning Kats," Shoto said smoothly, rushing inside to slip his arm around Katsuki's waist. He didn't resist as Shoto pulled him to his chest and kissed him gently.
