Shoto laughed as Katsuki glared at him not for the first time that day. "Oh come on, it was funny." he said, leaning in closer so that his knee bumped Katsuki's.
His heart skipped a beat- Shoto had been avoiding contact since the day at the coffee shop. He wanted Katsuki but he shouldn't. It was dangerous but he could feel the desire radiating off Katsuki and that made it so much worse.
His desire smelled like chocolate and oranges.
Katsuki smiled slightly, looking away. "It was a little." he held up two fingers nearly pinched together. Shoto smiled back. Katsuki hadn't talked to him for a week after the coffee shop and so Shoto was stuck talking to the boring ones.
Though Midoriya provided a lot of information, he was always droning on and on about being a hero and while Shoto could tell he genuinely wanted to help people- it was also clear he was playing right into the system.
That was the real problem. The system.
Denki had realized the issue but he had been avoiding Shoto like he was the plague- though he knew Denki stole glances at him often. Things were on track. In a few days Denki would be on his side, he just knew it.
He was so close and his plan would be set in motion.
"Does it hurt?" Shoto asked suddenly, grabbing at Katsuki's hand and flipping it over so he could look at his palm.
"Huh?" Katsuki asked, his heart beating faster at the contact. He didn't pull away. He hated how Shoto got him so confused- and he wanted him so badly but he couldn't understand it. He never was the romantic type.
"When you use your quirk... I feel like it would hurt." he clarified before taken a sip from his green tea. They were at the coffee shop again, much to Shoto's pleasure. He was getting tired of everyone else. Shoto like spending time with Katsuki.
And he liked touching him... there are so many things you can tell about a person by touching them. Shoto could feel it all- emotions were sticky on the skin. Desire was the most prevalent. That and anger.
Katsuki was always filled with anger.
"Sometimes I guess." he said, wiggling his fingers, making Shoto smiled. Katsuki stared at it for a moment before shifting his eyes to his lips again. Gods, why did he want to kiss him so bad? Soon though, he tore his eyes away, looking back at Shoto's face.
He was focused on Katsuki's hand. "Does yours?" he asked wanting to grab onto Shoto's hand. He had liked holding him.
"Yeah sometimes if I don't control it." Shoto answered, looking up at Katsuki. Their eyes met and Shoto couldn't help but notice the red in his eyes. It was beautiful.
Like his flames.
Suddenly Katsuki pulled his hand out of Shoto's and then reached up to his face. He touched the scar on Shoto's left eye, brushing against the skin with his thumb.
He never let anyone touch him like this before. Usually a strangers touch was too overwhelming, too many emotions and it was difficult to sort through it all but Shoto felt like he knew Katsuki.
He seemed to understand Katsuki's emotions without having to try too hard.
"How did you get this?" Katsuki asked suddenly but softly, knowing scars can be a sensitive topic sometimes. He hoped it wasn't too forward of him to ask. Shoto tensed for a moment at the memory and then closed his eyes. He listened to the beating of Katsuki's heart. It was fast but steady.
