42. Unexepting

"FIANCÉ!?" my father shouts making me jump. He stands up from his spot on the couch and runs to me. "I knew I should've kicked you out long before I did! Look at you wasting your life on some dirtbag!" he yells.

I feel the tears start to fall at his words. "sir I-" JJ steps in front of me but my father lands one swift punch to his cheek. I gasp as my fiancé stumbles back. Instead of going at him like I thought he would JJ just stands there. My mother pulls me in from behind and Topper stands between JJ and my father.

"you don't have to like me but I hope you know that I love your daughter more than anything in this world and would never hurt her. I might not have money but I try my damn best"

I'm slightly taken aback by JJs words. A huff leaves my fathers lips before making his opinion on us clear.

"get out of my fucking house" he spats before going to his room and slamming the door.

I hug my mom one last time before she goes to JJ. She hugs him gently "thank you for taking care of her" she smiles up at the blonde. "it's not a problem" JJ says. "bye Top" I hug him "bye Cami" he whispers back. JJ and Topper 'bro hug' as they call it before we leave.

The second we get into the car I fully break down into JJs arms. "I'm sorry" I repeat over and over again. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry"

He rubs my back "shhhh you're ok I've got you" JJ whispers softly. I life my head up and he cups my face, wiping away all my tears. "hey I love you, nothings going to change that" he says meaningfully.

"I love you to, and I'm sorry about him he's just- harsh..." I continue to apologize. He presses a kiss to the top of my head. We decided if was safest if JJ drove home.

"can we make one quick stop on the way home?" he asks me. I nod, signaling that it was fine if we did.

JJ takes a turn and we stop in-front of a little house on the marsh, not to far from John Bs. A for sale sign is posted right outside. "If you're ready, I was thinking we could go look at it this weekend?" the blonde suggest.

I look at the little, old, slightly beaten up but i'm pretty good condition house. "ya," I smile "let's do it"

After that we go back to John Bs. No one appeared to be around so we decided to just cuddle. The days events sure as hell exhausted us both.

"did I tell you how beautiful you are today?" JJ asks. "no" I whisper, just wanting to go to bed. JJ sarcastically gasps and starts littering kisses all over me.

"you're beautifu, you're beautiful, you're beautiful" he repeats the whole time. I begin to laugh as all my stress fades away in this moment.

Once he's done I wrap my arms around him, getting as close to him as possible. "I'm the luckiest girl in the world" I smile up at him. "I'm the luckiest guy in the world" he smiles back.

When we finally calmed down again I fell asleep listening to the sound of his heart. I really am so lucky to have him.
