"Nililigawan ka ba ni Chase?" bulong sa akin ni Catmint nang makapasok kami sa loob ng eroplano.
Si Ren ang Pilot namin at ang kanyang kaibigang si Gelo. Si Cedar naman at Chase ay nasa tabi ng mga bata. Sila raw ang magbabantay.
"Bakit mo naman tinanong?" I asked while I was reading the magazine. Hailey Mendes was the cover of this famous magazine.
"Panay kasi ang dikit sa 'yo. Gwapo pa!" aniya saka mahinang bumungisngis.
"Catmint, rinig na rinig ang boses mo," masungit na sabi ni Cedar habang nakakunot ang noong nakatingin sa kanya.
"Chase and I are friends," I uttered. "Right, Chase?"
He looked at me then he winked. "We'll never know."
I flinched. "Di ka pa nga nakakamove on sa ten years mo."
"You can help me."
"Ew," I uttered. "Anyway, why does Hailey's surname ring a bell?" I said while my eyebrows furrowed.
"Maybe because she's famous?" Catmint replied, unsure about her answer.
"Hailey is Lev Aziel's cousin. Nag invest tayo sa company ng mga Mendes which is the M's Mall but we cut ties with them," seryosong sabi ni Cedar. "Lev was Amaris' ex-boyfriend."
"Oh!" sabay naming sabi ni Catmint. "That guy, huh?" I uttered.
"Yeah. That guy..." ani Cedar.
"Why are you talking bad about the Mendes clan?" seryosong tanong ni Chase. His jaw was clenching and his face was emotionless.
Napatingin pa ako kay Catmint. "Did I heard that right?" I whispered.
"I think so," Catmint replied.
"You're related to them?" diretso kong tanong kay Chase.
"No. But I know all of them and I almost shot one of the Mendes' brothers before," makahulugang sabi ni Chase.
"How are you related to them exactly?" tanong ko.
"I can't tell you the details. Not my story to tell. Just don't talk bad about them infront of me."
"But Lev was an asshole. You didn't know Amaris' past," seryosong tugon ni Cedar.
"Amaris? Imil's wife?" he asked. It seems like he was confused.
"Yes. And it's not my story to tell either. I'm friends with Hailey. We're not talking bad about the whole clan, just Lev Aziel. Maybe you should ask him why our family is mad at him," seryosong tugon ni Cedar.
"If Chase would ever going to make ligaw to you, basted-in mo, okay?" malakas na sabi ni Catmint saka bumungisngis. Sinadya niya pa talagang lakasan ang kanyang boses para marinig ni Chase.
Tumingin din sa akin si Cedar saka ngumisi. "Huwag kang magpapauto sa lalaking 'yan, Lilac. Hindi kami boto sa kanya. Hangga't maaga pa, basted-in mo na."
"Hoy!" Chase hissed. "And now you're bullying me!"
"Habang-buhay ka sanang single, Chase," pang-aasar ni Cedar sa kanya.
"Wow ha! Sana hindi ka balikan ni Elisha," tugon naman niya.
I saw Cedar's fist clenched.
"Shut up you two. Baka magising ang mga bata!" pagsaway ko sa kanila.

Nang magising ako ay ensaktong kalalapag lang ng eroplano sa airport. Malawak akong ngumiti dahil sa galak na aking nararamdaman. It has been six years! Finally!
