"I'm so excited!" sabi ni Catmint habang papunta kami sa hospital.
"Ako rin," sabi ni Cedar na nakahawak sa akin.
"Mas excited pa kayo kaysa sa akin, ah!" masungit kong sabi.
Tinawanan lang nila ako.
"We're here!" masayang sabi ni Ren nang makarating kami. Kahit kaya ko namang maglakad ay nag insist talaga silang mag wheelchair ako.
Iginiya kami ng doctor at nurses sa delivery room. Mahigpit ang aking kapit sa kamay ni Catmint.
"Miss Lilac, it will be okay. Don't worry," sabi ng doctor.
We all nodded. I saw my siblings' worried faces. Ilang minuto ang nagdaan nang pinahiga nila ako saka pinatulog.
The next thing I knew, I woke up in a private room.
"Hey..." mahinang hinaplos ni Catmint ang aking mukha. "How are you?"
Nilibot ko ang aking paningin. "Okay lang ako. Where's my babies?"
"I'll call the doctor muna," Ren said.
I nodded.
"You've been asleep for a few hours. And the baby elements are so cute!" ani Cedar.
"They're healthy, right? Wala namang complications?" tanong ko sa kanila.
They shook their head.
"All of them are healthy, Lilac! You did it! Magsi-celebrate tayo pag-uwi," ani Cedar saka malawak na ngumiti.
Malawak akong napangisi.
Ilang minuto ang nagdaan nang makita ko si Ren at ang doctor na papasok. Malawak silang ngumiti sa akin.
"The triplets are currently in the NICU. They have to stay there for a week. All of them are healthy, Ms. Lilac. You can visit them if you're healed, most likely after three to four days. You are not allowed to walk or move because of your stitches," the doctor said while smiling widely.
"Look, I took a picture of them earlier and a video," ani Catmint.
"The lactose consultant will be here in a minute then nurse..." turo niya sa mga kasama niyang nurse. "Will be helping you with breastfeeding and pumping. The babies need milk," aniya.
I nodded. "Thank you, doc," masaya kong sabi.
"You're welcome, Ms. Lilac."
Nang makaalis ang doctor ay biglang nagsalita si Cedar.
"I'll go to NICU muna. I want to hold their hands," aniya saka lumabas.
"So, ito nga 'yong sinasabi kong video at picture ng babies," ani Catmint.
Napaawang ang aking mga labi at tuluyang bumagsak ang aking mga luha nang makita ko ang mga anak ko. The three of them are fraternal twins like Erazius and Elisha.
Arsenic Fitzmael, the oldest of the three for only a few seconds, has electric blue eyes like mine.
Krypton Fitzmael, the middle child, has blue and brown. They're different colors!
Cadmium Fitzmael, the youngest among the triplets, has deep brown eyes like their father.
"What happened to Krypton's eyes?" I asked.
"It's called heterochromia. It's a rare condition. In most cases, it doesn't affect vision or cause any health complications. You don't have to worry about it. It's cool!" ani Ren.
Napahawak ako sa dibdib ko dahil nakahinga ako nang maluwag. "All of them are healthy. Magpahinga ka lang para makauwi na tayo," ani Catmint.
"Bisitahin niyo sila lagi, okay? Ayoko silang maging malungkot do'n," sabi ko.
