"We will now begin to land, please fasten your seat belts." The man, who I assumed was the pilot of this plane said over the loudspeaker. I pulled out my headphones, and put them back in their convenient travel case. My legs were numb, seeing as I had been on a flight for 11 hours.
The plane finally landed, and people began filing out of the plane. I grabbed my backpack and swung it over my shoulders. I looked at Dan who was still sleeping and laughed. I tapped his shoulders and quietly whispered "Dan, Dan wake up."
After a few more tries, Dan finally woke up.
"Wh- wha, What's happening?" Dan asked mid yawn, rubbing his eyes.
"We landed." I said laughing, shaking my head.
Dan immediately jumped up, grabbed his backpack and tried to smooth out his hair a little.
"WHAT? OH GOD!"
"Ya" I laughed. "Well I guess this is goodbye."
It hurt to say that. Ya I know, I had only know him for a few hours but he was the sweetest guy.
Dan looked at me. "I guess, it is."
He came closer, holding his arms out for a hug. I held my arms out also, and we embraced into a hug. I didn't want to let go.
"Thank you, thank you for everything Dan."
"Nothing to thank me for." He said smiling.
The row in front of us left their seats and continued filing off the plane. Allowing us to exit also. I stepped off the plane and began to breathe the fresh air. It felt good in my lungs, it was like It was my first time outside. I looked back at Dan one last time and smiled. He smiled back. The next time I looked back he was gone.
I headed towards the baggage claim to retrieve my stuff. The U.K was so foreign to me, signs everywhere with different logos than the ones I'm used to. Nothing like Massachusetts. I had trouble getting to the baggage claim, but thankfully there where signs in every different corner to help me.
I finally found my way, and waited for my bags to arrive. I watched as all of the other people who where on my plane bags went by. I looked around, hoping to see just a little glimpse of Dan, but I didn't. He was no where to be found. I sighed and continued watching the bags go by.
I grabbed a luggage cart, seeing as I had 6 bags. I grabbed my bags and placed them in the cart. My phone began ringing in my pocket and I quickly answered it.
"Hello"
"Caitlin!"
"Noah, omg I miss you!"
"Well I would be offended if you didn't." Noah chuckled.
"You are my brother, how could I not miss you."
"Well your my sister, I miss you too!"
"So how are your studies going?"
"So good, that you will never guess where I am right now."
"Oh really, where?"
"IM HERE."
I laughed. "Be a little more specific Noah."
"Look behind you."
I turned around to see Noah's handsome familiar face. His brown hair up in a quiff, but messy in the back, like usual. Tall, 6'5. Wearing a hoodie and khakis. I looked around to see a bunch of girls around the airport checking him out. He always had girls looking at him 24/7.
I hung up the phone and ran towards him.
"NOAH!" I said as I jumped up into his arms.
He laughed. "Caitlin! See you still have that ugly mask you always wear on."
