Chapter Thirty-Three

A nurse came in shortly after, un-hooking me from my IVs, just like my doctor had said. My phone ringed and I picked it up to revel a text from Hailey. *.How are you?* It read.

Hailey, was my intern at work, I loved the girl. She was so sweet, I couldn't tell if she was just trying to suck up to me for job opportunities, but it sure didn't seem like that. Everyday we had work, we would carpool with each other, and grab a coffee at Starbucks quickly before we had to be there. I couldn't even imagine the stress she was going through at work without me there. She was so nice, people took advantage of it, they treated her like a pushover. She could never say no.

*I'm getting out today! :)* I replied.

*OMG! Hey, don't you need clothes?* she replied.

*oh ya......*

*ill bring you some! Omg you'll look so good in this!*

I shut off my phone and put it on the counter, waiting for her to arrive. Moments later, I could hear shopping bags and feet shuffling down the hallway. I looked out my door, and to no surprise it was Hailey. I positioned myself so I was sitting upright on my hospital bed.

"Hey. Thanks so-" before I could finish getting the words out, hailed excitedly threw the bags on my bed.

"No need to thank me, I had the best time picking out outfits for you." She said.

"You didn't have to buy me anything!" She really didn't, but I couldn't say I wasn't excited that she did.

"Caitlin, I wanted to." She said shooting me a smile.

"Aww thanks."

She pulled a beautiful blue skirt and white tank top followed by a pair of brown flats. They were absolutely stunning, but that was not it. She grabbed the other smaller bag that she had with her, and pulled out a pair of brown flats, also in the same color an over the shoulder bag, white feather earnings, a necklace and a big circle ring. I was actually in love with this outfit.

Hailey threw the outfit at me and urged me to try it on. I ran to the bathroom that was connected to my room and took one last look at this hospital where so many memories were made. Not all good, but defiantly not all bad.
