Compton, South Los Angeles
Elevation Night Club

"Compton, Compton. Ain't no city quite like mine..."

"You're from south Compton?" Diamant was shocked that's where Aurora was from. This whole time she just assumed she was an uptown/suburbs type girl.

The last place she expected Aurora to bring her was some underground night club. And when she walked in, it was something she's never experienced before, not even in New York City. And it definitely wasn't like the downtown L.A. nightclubs she's used to either. The vibe was just... different— but in a good way.

"You ain't thought you was the only one from the hood, did you?"

"No. But you're just so— I don't know. I wouldn't have guessed Compton is all."

"Oh this is my part of the world baby," she got close to Diamant's ear so she could hear her over the loud music thumping through the club. "Come on," she took Diamant's hand and guided her over to the bar.

"Sergio, hey babe," Aurora dapped up the man behind the counter, who looked like he was in his early to mid thirties. "I wasn't sure you'd be here tonight."

"I'm always here. But where you been at shorty?" He smiled her.

"I been busy running my restaurants."

"Restaurants? As in multiple?"

"Mmhm," she smiled. "I have two of them now. Have for over a year now."

"Damn, so it really has been a while since you came around here. So what finally brought you back home, Roro?"

"I wanted to show my friend a little piece of my world out here in Compton," Aurora pulled Diamant forwards to show her off.

"No fucking way," Sergio let out quite an obnoxious laugh. "No way you're friends with Iridessa? This a joke? She holding you hostage?" her whispered the last part to Diamant, joking with her.

"Shut the hell up Gio," Aurora flipped her middle finger at him, in a not so joking way.

"I'm just playing shawty. It's nice to meet you," he held his hand out and Diamant kindly accepted it.

"It's nice to meet you too."

"Y'all want sumn to drink?"

"You know I do," Aurora responded. "Can we get two margaritas?"

"Sugar on the rim of yours instead of salt?"

"You ain't forget," Aurora smiled up at him.

"Of course not," he turned to start making their drinks for them.
