"The hell you mean you moving in with Iridessa? Where am I supposed to go?" Sage shrieked as Aurora told her the news at breakfast a few days after she got back from Iceland.
"My lease isn't up until the end of August, so you can stay here until then. But after that? I don't know what to tell you Sage."
"Roro," she pushed her plate away from her and really focused on her sister now. "You're not being serious? You're not really gonna move out when I'm bout to have a baby?"
"Malibu isn't that far from here—"
"It's an hour away. Sometimes over with traffic."
"You're an adult Sage, you do realize that right? At some point you have to realize you needa grow up and stop depending on me for everything."
"Okay, I get that. But did you miss the part where I said I'm about to have a baby? It's not fair that you're just leaving me on my own like that Roro."
"You're staying in a three bedroom apartment absolutely rent free until my lease it up. That's hardly unfair. You're just being a brat right now."
"I'm not being a brat. I can't be here by myself with this baby. I don't know the first thing about being a mother."
"I'm sure you'll figure it out," Aurora pushed away from the table and picked up both of their plates.
"Why are you doing this for real?" Sage sat there with her arms crossed over her chest, them sitting right on top of her very large belly.
"Sage, you were there when I asked Dia to marry me, so I'm not understanding why you didn't think us moving in together was the next step. Plus you said it yourself, I'm barely here anyway. So what difference does it make?"
"I mean I knew it would happen, just not this soon. What am I supposed to do by myself—"
"I literally don't have time for this," Aurora went to the coat closet and pulled out her jeans jacket. "I gotta go to work."
"You said you don't have to leave until later on?"
"Yeah, but you're gonna start pissing me off. And because I'm not tryna run up your blood pressure at this point in your pregnancy, I'm just gonna leave early."
"Why am I pissing you off?"
"Because you're being dense as hell. You realize this is my fucking apartment, right? That I'm letting you stay in, which I don't have to. And yet you still find some fucking thing to complain about."
