♪ Last thing I remember is our beautiful bodies grinding up in that club. Drunk in love....
"Harperrrr!" Aurora wrapped her arms around the club owner, pulling him into a really tight hug. "It's been so long babe."
"For real," he pulled back from the hug and just looked at her. "I don't remember the last time I seen you."
"Sachi's birthday I think."
"Riiight," Harper nodded his head, remembering that she was in fact at his wife's birthday gathering back in March. "That was months ago."
"I know, it's been a while. And Sachi, she's due in a couple weeks now, right?"
"Yup. And honestly?" Harper bit down on his lip. "I'm scared as fuck. Knowing I'm bouta be a father any day now got me fucked up for real."
"You're gonna be a great father Harp, calm down," Aurora gave his arm a reassuring squeeze.
"But enough about me. What you been up to Ro?" He asked her about herself now.
"You know, I been around, doing my usual thing," she shrugged.
Diamant brushed her arm against Aurora's, reminding her that she was in fact still standing there.
"Oh. I'm sorry," Aurora wrapped her arm around Diamant, pulling her forward. "This is my—"
"Iridessa," Harper said before Aurora had a chance to introduce her as anything in particular. "I heard that you might be making an appearance tonight. It's nice to finally meet you," he held his hand out to her.
"It's even nicer to have been invited. I heard the guest list is very exclusive," she accepted his hand, giving it a little shake.
"And you're as exclusive as they come," he gave her a real warm smile before pulling away from the hand shake.
"Well," she blushed, flipping her hair back behind her shoulder. "I don't know about all that, but thanks for gassing me anyway Harper."
"Who's gassing? You're the hottest thing out right now, you can't deny that."
"She likes to pretend she's shy," Aurora wrapped her arm around Diamant's waist.
"Well we gonna have to break you outta that shell Iridessa. Shy ain't allowed around here," Harper guided them over to the bar and told them to order whatever they wanted to.
"You look nervous," Aurora said to Diamant when Harper had left them alone to go mingle with more guests that were showing up, specifically a group of NBA Lakers that had walked in. They had been at the bar for a minute now, and Diamant looked more uncomfortable as every second passed.
