Good Morning Los Angeles Talk Show

"And Diamant, where did this new branding come from? What made you part ways with the iconic 'Iridessa' stage name you've been known for since before your career even took off?" The lady interviewing her asked.

And of all the interviews and talk shows Diamant has done, this had to be the best one she's ever experienced. She wasn't nervous, or anxious that they'd ask her a bunch of questions she either couldn't or didn't want to answer. She felt good, she felt confidant sitting there on that couch talking to a woman she felt she could actually relate to.

"I think it was time. I've been Iridessa for as long as I can remember... I never got to really be Diamant. I never got to really be the woman I wanted to be this whole time."

"So is Diamant a new you or...? And if so, tell me a little bit about this new woman that we all look forward to getting to know?"

"It's not necessarily a new me, but a better me. Iridessa was just a part of me, yuh know? The best parts of me. But the older I get, the more I realize that it's okay to not be perfect. Diamant isn't perfect, I'm not perfect. I struggled with it a lot, but now I've learned to love my imperfections. Because in a way our flaws are what makes us perfectly imperfect."

Diamant couldn't help but smile to herself as she said that line about imperfections, because that's the exact thing Aurora told her that first night they spent together in Saint Lucia. And a year later, those words have still stuck with her.

"And Diamant is exactly what we got on this new album. Oh, it was amazing," she put a lot of emphasis on the word. "I mean breathtaking. Your rapping was on point as usual, but I didn't even know you could sing too. And to hear you produced most of the album yourself? Girl, let's talk about that. How does it feel having the number one album in the nation right now?"

"It feels good, yuh know," Dia smiled into the camera. "My fifth official studio album has been charting with no label to back me up since I dropped it. And I'm getting married next week. My soon to be wife's business is forever growing and expanding. Honestly? My life couldn't be better right now."

"And it shows. Girl, you are glowing. And speaking of glowing, let's talk about this album cover miss Diamant."

She turned around and her album cover was right there behind her on the larger than life screen.
