"It is beautiful. Perfect even," Aurora whispered.
But she wasn't talking about the ocean, or even the sunrise. She lived there for the first few years of her life and has been visiting Saint Lucia every year since to see her mom's side of the family. When she says perfect, she's talking about Diamant. She's talking about how beautiful her dark skin seemed to glow in the sun's rays. How her dark brown eyes looked behind her thick lashes, and how the corner of her lips turned up into a smile as she stared out at the ocean ahead of them.
"It is perfect," Diamant agreed with her, and she also wasn't talking about the scenery. She was talking about Aurora, and how connected she felt to this woman after knowing her for only a week.
